Thankful Thursday

I went outside yesterday, to chop weeds.
For once, I remembered to take my camera.
I found this plum tree starting to bloom. I keep
telling them not to do it, don't be lulled into thinking
it is spring. They just won't listen.

Then I have this gorgeous sunflower growing
in my strawberry bed. You can see the cold has
been hard on it, but it doesn't matter, it is still
doing it best to find the sun. It outer leaves are
a little bit bedraggled, but it makes me so happy.

This is the Acacia tree behind my fence. I tried
to get pictures of the bees working in the blossoms
but they were shy. They kept flying away from me
into higher blossoms I couldn't stand tall enough to
reach.
I woke up during the night, and as I was counting
my blessings and thinking over all that I have been
blessed with, I am very content.
What I am thankful for today is that I can chop weeds
every day and still have the strength to do all of my work.
I am thankful that I have the gift of staying at home.
I am thankful that my husband still likes to hang out
with me after almost 30 years. I am thankful that
that my kids still like me. Even the
teenagers. :) My grandchildren even miss me and
want to go to gama's. Yes today, when I count my blessings
one by one, I have been given a Wonderful Life, and really,
dreams do come true.

Good Evening Kim,
I could hardly wait to get over and visit you tonight, as I took yesterday off from my computer. Sometimes I just have to do it, because I find that I can very easily spend way to much time on line. And the Lord has to pull me close to him once again.

Your punch needle project is beautiful, you did a wonderful job. I have never tried punch needle, but will check this out.
Your Thankful Thursday post makes me so envious, and it has only fed my spring fever.LOL You must be far ahead of us weather wise, my plum tree will blossom in about four weeks.

And like you I am so thankful to be able to work, and for right now exercising to get back in shape. lol. I have had six months of health problems and not being active really got me out of shape. But God is always so faithful and gracious to me.

I can tell in your writings that you are very content, with your walk with God, and with your family. I have read so many of your previous posts, and was so blessed by them. I am also so glad that you decided to continue to write. Being able to express yourself in written word is a gift from God, you will never know how many people will stop by and be encouraged by your words. If God has placed this in your heart then he has a purpose,I know I have been blessed.

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother in December. I do believe that God rolls the curtains back and lets our loved ones see the great things that are happening in our lives, and I also believe that they are there cheering us on.
The main reason I started blogging was to meet other Christian women who showed their love for God by loving and serving their families, and others, Once again God has been so gracious in helping me find women such as you, and for that I am very thankful.
Blessings and Hugs,
Sue
