Feeding the Bees

The bees are going through a jar a day of sugar water a day.
It just amazes me how hungry they are. As I stood outside
the hive I could see bees coming in with their little bee
pockets filled with pollen.

They were getting a little "buzzy," because of the
lady standing there with a camera so I had to move
on. I grabbed the empty jar and went to get a full
one.

The bees were not happy about me taking away the
empty one. Then I had this thought. Always this one,
the reason God sent His son to earth as a man was
because we needed to understand God as a man. Just like
the only way the bees would understand I wasn't taking
their food was to be a bee. I couldn't talk to them or make
them understand, even if I did stand out there and make
buzzing sounds. ( I didn't.)
My second thought was this, sometimes God allows
things in our life that we are unwilling to give up.
Like these bees and the empty jar. Sometimes
we hold onto empty things too just because we
think we know best.
Little do we know that if we will give up what ever
it is we are holding onto, God will replace it with a full
jar of something so much better.

It was just what I was thinking about as I stood
outside of the bee hive and as I prayed that I would
let go of what I am holding onto so tightly, and opening
my hand to receive whatever it is I have overlooked from
God. God can't give us gifts if our fists are clenched. :)
Don't you just love Tuesday's!

Hmm, I like your illustration. It encourages me to open my hands, too. I go around with them so tightly clenched.

Poor hungry bees. If you look close, you can see some with their little tongues down through the holes.

You should see some of them today. They are all on the outside of the box. I wish I knew why.

I will have to go out about sundown to replace the jar.
