The Simple Woman's Daybook

Simple Woman\
I had signed up for a daybook entry and I am just getting to it. So I am going
to do it today.

FOR TODAY

Outside my window...It is finally warm. The kids all went swimming for the first
time today. As I was folding clothes and watching out the window, I am aware,
that soon life will change again, and there will be less and less time when
they will have time to just play in the pool.

I am thinking...How blessed I am by the people who come through my door.

I am thankful for...God's refusals. I realize some of them have shown me His
greatest mercies.

From the learning rooms...My learning rooms right now, are the places
that I am in by opening my clutching hands and leaving them open for
God to fill. With what He wants to give me and knowing that in Acceptance
lieth peace.

From the kitchen...My son wanted Brenner for his birthday dinner, breakfast+ dinner= brenner
The boys have found out that they love biscuits and gravy and want to eat them all of the time now. I made a ice cream cake for his birthday cake.

I am wearing... White shirt and black shorts and socks and tennis shoes.

I am creating...I am still working on my rug but I did draw some new patterns
that I want to get started on as soon as I finish my current rug.

I am going...outside to collect eggs and water my chickens.

I am reading...The Bible, The Ball Canning Book.

I am hoping...That I go swimming more this year than I did last year.

I am hearing...my iPod, I am listening to a Bible teacher as I write this. He is
teaching on physics and the Bible.

Around the house...I need to clean flowerbeds and wash windows.

One of my favorite things...Sitting and visiting with my kids. I love summer
and the slower pace.

A few plans for the rest of the week: I need to go get my eyes checked. I finally
remembered to ask my husband for our eye insurance card.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

Here is a picture of the pumpkins. I just love how big they are getting.
Thanks for reading my simple woman's day book entry today.

Gosh, you are going to have an amazing pumpkin crop this year. What are you going to do with all of them? A roadside pumpkin pie stand maybe?

Enjoy reading daybooks Kim, and yours is beautiful. I love Brenner, especially pancakes, yum. We will be planting our pumpkins soon. Your plant looks so healthy. We finally got some rain last night, so thankful! We were spending most of our days watering.
Hugs,
Sue

And with the weather finally warming up, swimming will become the sport of choice! The pool over here is already turning green from so many people swimming in it. The kids keep begging to go swimming and I can't stand the thought of it.

My summer off from school begins on the 23rd. But, I won't feel it's really summer until we settle into the new house on the 30th. I wonder if I have time to plant any garden, but if not, I can watch your pumpkins growing along with you! Enjoy these slow days of summer!

Charlie Brown would be proud of your pumpkin patch. Wow, they grew fast and not a weed in sight. I love to read your Simple Woman Day Book.

Time is flying by so fast here it makes my head spin. Have a great week. JB
