Bringing Spring Inside
I have posted before that my daughter works at Home
Depot in the garden department. It is really, nice
having someone who feels about plants like I do, and
when she sees something really unique she brings it home.
I have some really neat things growing in my flowerbeds.
This is Emilie in her apron at Home Depot. One of the really
handy things she does is when I need spray paint and I
go to Home Depot, she knows the combination to the spray
paint cage and I don't have to go hunt someone down to get some
for me. My collection of spray paint has grown since she works there.
Yesterday we were driving by, my husband and myself and
I could see all of these great tulips and daffodils out in
front. When I got home and she was getting ready to go to work
I asked if she would get some and bring a few home when she
came home on her lunch hour. Which she did and today,
I have been so happy with these flowers in the house.
I have been so blue and depressed since the fog and the
gloomy days and even if the sun comes out and I try to
get out in it for even five minutes. Nothing has lifted
my spirits like having these flowers in my kitchen.
Even hanging out with my chickens hasn't helped like
it has in the past. I like winter okay, but I have decided
that I need to go somewhere that has a beach, and sand,
and nice warm gentle breezes. I am tired of sweatshirts.
Maybe I do need a chick or two.
Have a great Tuesday,
~Kim~

How wonderful to have your daughter work at Home Depot. I bet you're there alot :-) Tulips are my favorite flower. These are beautiful!
Blessings,
Marcia
LOVE the tulips....can almost smell them!!
The flowers are beautiful, but not as pretty as she is!! :)
I know what you mean about drab weather... makes me long for the beach too!
Your daughter is a real cutie. Those flowers look so lovely and spring-like. I know what you mean about the weather bringing you down. Imagine almost 3 foot deep snow with another foot on the way this week. Blah....
Flowers are pretty.....your daughter is prettier!! :-) Sorry you have had the blues. Come see me and we'll go to the beach...I would love to feel the sand, see the waves, and smell the salt air!
Emilie is darling and the flowers are lovely. Life's good there-eh? :)
Dearest Kim, you're so sweet to leave such nice comments, they make me smile! We don't sell things online, but if there really is something you saw you liked, we could figure out shipping for you. Also, do you take Vitamin D? I take D and B moreso during the winter, it helps.

Ooooh, forgot to say CONGRATULATIONS again on your new upcoming grandbaby! I'm still waiting for my sister to have another baby so we've got another one to hold around here ;-). L
Hi Kim
I'm so sorry the fog is causing the blues, I will pray about that, because I know that is no fun at all.
Ok, your precious daughter is so Pretty, and looks like such a sweet person. I'm happy to hear the flowers are brightening your days. It's funny, but I actually did research on flowers in regard to mood. Studies have shown that they actually do have a therapeutic affect, lifting are mood. So it's so great that you have all these beautiful flowers.
I used to have a CD years ago that played beach sounds, waves crashing, seagulls and wind blowing. It used help me relax me when
I would nap. I live about 30 minutes from the beach, but don't get there as often as I would like.
God bless you & your family,
Michele
Oh, how nice to have some bulbs to look at! I'm scheming of how to do a beach day trip here in the next week or so, once the beach warms up again. I just want to sit and stare at the waves for hours and hours, and let the kids run around in the sand and water.
Your daughter is just darling! And I know just what you mean about flowers in the house like that. I love them too. I have a couple of small violet plants in my bathroom that have just started to bloom. How I love them. I want to go and by some more. The weather does have such an affect on our moods doesn't it? Well, it does on mine that is for sure. Days and days of fog are bound to get to everyone. Spring really is right around the corner though...isn't? That's how I always feel as Feb. hits...Have a wonderful day! HUGS
Hi Kim, I know the feeling. After seeing nothing with new life for so long ,fresh flowers are the answer for me and digging in in the soil.
Maybe you should try some herbal remedy like St John's Wort to uplift your moood. It helps me when ever I get in that place of being down in the dump.
Your daughter looks very pretty and it's nice that she can find some nice plants for you and help you with your paints. JB
Love the photos--I could almost smell them from here.
There is 30-36 inches of snow coming here to Vermont, as we speak. I need roses and a plow truck!
For you I suggest to order yourself some chicks!

Your daughter is lovely. Home depot is my husbands mistress. When he retires he wants to work there. Every inch of the store he has covered. We are weathering the storm and all the snow the best we can. Thank you for asking.
Kim, just come on down here and visit us! We are only 5 minutes from the beach. I would love to have some winter myself but, alas, we just don't get much here.
Your daughter is lovely and how sweet of her to bring those flowers home--they are beautiful! Our DD3 is an Athletic Training major and tells us all kinds of things we should be doing...and I listen...I just don't always 'do'...LOL Glad your son is sharing his nutrition info with you--it's a valuable course for sure!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments on my blogs! I really appreciate them! Oh, my camera is a Canon EOS Rebel something...my hubby bought it for me a couple of years ago and I love it!
