Wonderful Friends

One of the things I didn't know about blogging was that
you would meet friends from all over the world and that
as they shared their lives, how my life would become enriched.
When I was starting to get my feet wet and wanting to be a rug
hooker I started going to rug hooking sites. One of the gifted
ladies I ran across was a blog named Cotton-eyed Jo takes a look at life.
She does beautiful rugs. She also does beautiful hand work.
She was going to start dyeing wool and she had a give away that
I won.
Yesterday I received my palate. It is called Blue Violets. The picture
doesn't do justice to the beautiful colors.

I love the way this wool feels and I find myself petting it.
How in the world will I ever cut it up and use in a rug I have
no idea. I see why now that ladies go to the trouble to dye
their own wool. I didn't know why before. I asked my friend,
Kim why and she told me that it was to get the richer colors say in a flower.

I really need to take a class so I could get this stuff down. I am learning
and that is all that matters, right?

I just thought I would share this beautiful wool. I hope
you had a wonderful day.

Yes Kim, blogging has been a blessing. It made us friends :)
Your wool is very pretty. Looks like you could hook some lilacs with it. The best way to learn is just to play. You will develop your own style and you are off to a great start in that department.
Hugs, Kim

That looks fun...now what jumped out at me was you taking a class...I need to take a class in something, I so enjoyed when I took classes and was learning, I also got things finished. LOL I can't wait to see what it looks like at the end.

Have so much fun! I took a picture of a rug I crochet for my mother-in-law years ago when I was at her house, some how I never got pictures of all I did back then, so that means I need to do new things.

Have a wonderful week and I hope you had a wonderful Easter!
