Chats on the Farmhouse Porch

It is time again to visit with Patrice on her porch. It is so nice to see her winners of her giveaway celebrating a year of Chats. Can it really be that long? Can you believe we are to August? I start back to school in 20 days. There will be so much to get done in this short amount of time.

So lets get to this weeks questions:

1.    Do you have any special plans for this fall?

Sewing lots and lots of fall things, or teaching school? Things like that? Fall is always busy and I love fall so much.

2.    Do you collect anything?

Yes, Books, lots and lots of books. Raggedy Ann dolls, chickens, gosh if I am not careful I will turn into a hoarder.

  3.  Have you done any canning or freezing this season?
Yes, as my brag posts have shared but just in case here is a picture of my pantry as of today. :)

4.    Do you have a friend who lives far away? Where do they live?

All of my friends live far away. All over the U.S. and Canada, and Europe.

5.    When in a store, restaurant, or other business, do you ever complain or praise to the management?

I try never to complain. I try to find something good about every situation. Even when a new person dumped two whole, full glasses of ice water in my lap, I tried to be nice. I did yell a bit as the water was cold and I did jump to my feet.  The poor kid was very new and I could see he was almost in tears. I have been on the other side of that counter and I know how some-days you just need a smile.

Thanks to Patrice for having these chats. This is number 53.

Your canned goods look so homey!
I spilled water on someone's lap when I was a waitress. I was a tiny bit clumsy. Yikes!
What are you going to sew?
I start school in twenty days, too.
Yahoo for Raggedy Ann!

I want you pantry shelves. It all looks so wonderful. I made pickles this Sunday, but have to wait 8weeks before we can have one. Today I went to an orchard in Harvard MA. I bought a peck of the most gorgeous peaches and tomorrow I will be making peach salsa. I will be tripling the recipe. We loved it last year and ate it up too fast. Enjoyed my visit as always.

Fall is my favorite season. I have more Raggedy Anns in our house than most people. I love Ann and Andy. I have a big repair to do on my childhood Ann and Andy. The fabric got old and they got sad. Have a Wendell week! (happy week)

Like you, I try to be understanding of folks, recognizing that we all have off days and wouldn't I like to be shown a little grace when I don't get things right? School will be starting in a few weeks here too. Can't believe it, fall is just around the corner! Have a blessed week.

Good morning! Can't believe it is August either. I soo love the Fall though. I remember those days with school right around the corner. I miss them.

Mom fell at my sisters while having a seizure and is in the hospital. Hurt ankle, but not broken. She should come home with me today. This will cause more challenges I am sure, but grateful she is OK.

Have a wonderful day! HUGS

That pantry looks amazing! If I had that, I think I'd spend the day standing, staring at it!
