Friends

One thing that I have learned about blogging, is that the world opens up and you make friends with people in different parts of the country and in the world. The world of blogging reduces the world to a small intimate circle. Blogging, I have made friends that I might have never known in my lifetime. What I have found about blogging is that I have received so much more than I have ever given.

One of these many people that I have made friends with is my friend Kim at Millie's Mats.  She has a challenging life  and she never fails to see the glass half full.
I know she has had her plate very, very full these last few weeks but she managed to send me a box in the mail for my birthday.

She sent a lovely sachet that she hooked. My two favorite designs a sunflower on one side and a chick on the other.
I love the colors.

She sent some necklaces that are made from beach glass. With the kind of charms on them that just fit me.
Here is the other one.

Of course she sent her lovely wash clothes she has been knitting. I have to say that I think if she ever gives up rug hooking, she is just as talented when it comes to knitting. I love the colors of the yellow that she picked.
She also sent some lovely home made soap from a soap company there. I love home made soap.

I am thankful for the friends I have made while blogging. I am so thankful for the friends I have made and the lives that have touched mine. I am thankful for all of the people I have met and the ways that as we share with others. I know my life has expanded and become richer. I love that places are not some far off place that I have just read about in the newspaper but places become real because of the people I have been blessed to meet.

If you get time, check out Kim's lovely blog, she also has a Etsy store with her lovely handmade items. Not to mention that she is just as lovely as can be and you will never meet a more warm, giving person who will always make your day brighter.
Thank you Kim, for the gifts but for also being my friend.
