Weekly Top Shot Week # 18

I am going to link today with Madge and her linky today Weekly Top Shot. She has beautiful blog with fantastic pictures. Her blog is called A View From Right Here. I just haven't had the shots to share and this week I got this one. I know it isn't as close as I wish it was, I use a Cannon point and shoot. The shutter speed is very slow, like 3 seconds. I saw this flock of Canadian Geese and I knew it would be a miracle if I got this shot at all. I only had a second so I thought, "if I was shooting these birds with a gun, how much lead would I give them,"  so I tried it with a camera. I pushed my button on my camera before they were even in my window.  When I came in and put the photos I took into my computer I was so excited.
Later I had my son, who uses Photo Shop all of the time come in and get the shot closer I was thrilled.
I am so happy to get to share this photo today. I have always enjoyed watching birds fly south. To see this one on a beautiful spring mornings was just magic.
Thanks for letting me share this today, and stop in and visit the other top shots for this week.

Thanks to Madge too,
~Kim~

Good job, lead shooting Farm Girl! I like your pictures. I laughed at your description of shooting it and I smiled because it's all my friend, Kim!:)I am seriously wishing I had a nice camera. It won't be in the budget in the foreseeable future, but I can wish. Have beautiful weekend!

Oh it IS beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, Kimmie-bird!
I love it! I must put on my boots and trudge out to the bird feeder. I bought some thistle seed for the finches.

Haha you have to take pictures like you're actually shooting them. That made me laugh. :)

Just so ya know...a lot of your photos are worthy of Top Shots. For instance, the buds in the post below this one...your header photo. Well, anyway, this one of the geese is pretty cool. Good shot!

That's amazing. This winter has been so warm that the geese did not fly further than here and they are living down at the lake. I love to hear them honking early in the morning and late in the evening. I should sneak and hide and get you some good photos

Awesome photo of the geese! They are a rarity
though occasionally I see swans flying over.
Best wishes

Always love seeing the geese in the flying "V" and even better when they are honking along the way.
