Happy Valentines Day

I hope you are having a wonderful day today. I will share my idea of what I think about Valentines Day. This is always my goal and as person. I fail at this every day, but it is my goal and someday I hope I may attain it. This is what I wish I could be like on Valentines Day.

" To aim at loving instead of at being loved requires sacrifice, Love reaches out, willing to be turned down or inconvenienced, expecting no personal reward, wanting only to give."

" Love is patient, is kind, It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs."
(1 Corinthians 13:4-5)
Have a wonderful day today,
~Kim~

Love the quote about loving instead of being loved, etc. I've never read that before. Did you write that or have I missed it all these years?

How lovely. It's one of my favorite scripture passage. It's like a mother's unconditional love for her child.

I think that you are closer to your goal than you think. Happy Valentine, KIM. JB

I need this on my fridge. I do much better on all fronts when I am reminded. When the kids were little I had a paper taped up that use to say things like If a child lives with criticism they learn to be critical and if they live with patience they learn to be kind. These are not the exact words but close. I had to read that a lot.
