Today is the day we venture over to visit with Patrice.
I think it might be too cold to visit on her porch and I know
it is too cold on mine.

QUESTIONS
1. What are you thankful for?
I will keep this short and sweet, I really could write a novel. I am thankful for my family, my blogging friends and my life.
2. Jellied cranberry or whole berry cranberry?
I love making my own cranberry sauce. In fact I buy lots of packages of cranberries this time of year and keep them in my freezer.
Then I will use them through out the year to have with chicken and I use them to make cranberry muffins and bread. I love cranberries.
3. How many will sit at your dinner table Thursday?
We will have sixteen this year.
4. Would anyone who visits the porch be interested in some type of Christmas card or small gift exchange?
That would be fun.
5. Do you venture out on Black Friday?
NO, NADA, Never, I didn't know about Black Friday when I was much younger. I took all six of my kids with me I needed
something like coats or something for the kids. I got to the mall and I couldn't figure out where and why all of these cars
were there. Duh.
I don't go anywhere on Black Friday.

I too can not get enough of cranberries, infact I just made my cranberry relish this afternoon to serve at Thanksgiving. I buy bags and bags to use throughout the year. Janet, of Olde Crow Primitives posted a cranberry banana bread recipe and I swear I have been making it weekly for about a year. I really need to start my daily walk again, not good. Goodnight.
Your Black Friday story sounds like my Mom's. Only she had 4 kids, and somebody ran over my little brother with a shopping cart without ever looking back. Mom packed us up in the pickup and never went out on a Black Friday again.

Hi Kim! I'm here again from Patrice's porch and enjoyed reading your post. Being out in the crazy Black Friday crowds is hard enough with only two people. I can't imagine venturing into it with the children, too. I'm glad that you survived. :)

My MIL is making her apple pie for us this year, so I'll be putting Indian pudding together. It's a pudding with milk, cornmeal, molasses, and spices....cooked for a long time. Yum! I can just see you heading off to the stores with the kiddos not realizing it was Black Friday! I don't know how folks do that kind of crowd thing!

The thought of whole berry cranberries makes me cringe. Its jelly for me!
I probably would have been crazy enough to try Black Friday when I was young but not now. I would probably get arrested or worse. (Think big SUV driver) Sometimes I don't know when to shut my mouth when annoyed! :)

Taking a little break from my prep for tomorrow's cooking to say hi and read your answers for the chat! I just, seriously, JUST (10 minutes ago)discovered why I don't like cranberry sauce. I had only had canned before. I made my own and tasted it (10 minutes ago) and it's DELICIOUS! I do love cranberry orange bread!

Love cranberries too Kim, and never thought about freezing them for later use. Isn't that funny as I am always freezing any and every thing. It must be the brain freeze that has been going around with the politicians. ~smile`
I am so with you about shopping on Black Friday, I was just reading the ads this morning and dh and I were talking about how foolish it would be to stand in line to buy, and no way would we be out tomorrow, home is where we shall be.
I can just see you in the kitchen baking pies for your lovely family.
