Happy Monday!

I had to pick these cute little pumpkins yesterday. The heat has caused my vines to die and I wanted to save these guys. Even though they needed a bit more time on the vine. I think they are so pretty and they do make me feel like fall is trying to come anyway.

I just love this bushel basket full of goodness. My husband is still leaving the house very early in the morning.
This morning I opened the blinds early and had my cup of coffee as I watched the sun come up over the mountains. As the suns first rays hit the grass in the yard it turned the dew in the grass, to a yard of diamonds sparkling in first bit of day.

I decided since it was so early it would be a good time to get back on my walking schedule. I went out to start walking and I hoped for the smell of September. The smell of burning was on the wind. There are forest fires in Northern California and the prevailing wind brings it here. So all around me is the smell of burning wet wood. Time to return to my regular schedule. I admit to liking schedules. I get more done. I am thankful for dreams, and for life and for yes, even trials that help me to keep my vision a bit clearer. It makes me able to feel joy in spite of the circumstances.

I hope you all have a great Monday.

the smell of burning wet wood is pleasant except for the fear of wildfire that goes with it. i hate all the fires going on right now!

There isn't much I can schedule into my life, but this morning I too started back to more frequent walking. It gives me energy to consider adding more work in!

Awwwww, they are so cute! Your pictures are beautiful. The morning glories look like stained glass with the sun shining through them like that! I hope your walks bring you peace and focus. Thank you for sharing your heart!

Those pumpkins are adorable. My vines are getting wilty-er by the day, I am hoping they will hold out for a bit longer. Yes, having a schedule is very nice.

I love pumpkins. They're so friendly! I have sent you two e-mails and they keep getting kicked back. Must be something going on here. Keep us in your prayers this week. My oldest starts college. Wait- she was just a baby. How did this happen?!!! Waaaaaaaaa!

I started reading this post and, as soon as I realized it was one of those where you wax poetic and take us on a sensory path, I had to stop and come back when I had the time to take it all in. It was worth it! I am always rejuvenated by my visits here.

Once school starts it is so hard for me to fit my walk in. To bad about the smoke smell. Its amazing how far the smoke travels.

These pumpkins are so cute! So sad that you're smelling smoke :( Some folks are suffering :'( It's such an awful thought ...

Oh, btw - your flower photos just blow me away x

Love your cute little pumpkins! Are you still going to try baking them? So sorry about the fires and the smell. I remember when we had fires in the Okefenokee a few years ago, the smoke came way up state and it was awful!

I love your cute little pumpkins. You will have lots to decorate your house with.

I hope that the forest fires will be put out with lots of rain.

Hugs, JB

The pumpkins are great but hard to believe you're harvesting. I'm sorry the fires are still burning; dreadful!

I'm glad you did a pumpkin post! It's been hard to start school without the wonderful cool leaves smell. It'll come, though.

Those pumpkins are simply adorable! I'm praying for an end to those forest fires ... how awful. The flowers at the end of your post ... are those sweet peas? Sweet peas were my mom's favorite flowers ... I am always reminded of her when I see them (which isn't often ... no one grows them any more).

Those pumpkins just say fall all over them. Beautiful morning glory too! Hold onto these longer days, they aren't going to last much longer.
