Welcome Spring!

Dear Spring,

Welcome! I just wanted to officially welcome you. I have in the past been excited about your arrival. I admit to just grumbling a bit when you wanted to show up in January. I will admit to telling you to go away and let winter have her moment.
You have continued to wiggle your way in just about every day. I am glad that winter put up a fight this weekend and sent some snow and rain.
I know that when you visit early, we don't have fruit later in the year as you try to let March dictate to you about the wind. This year has been okay though in the wind department. Just enough to let the leaves break out.
So, now that you start officially, on Tuesday, I will greet you, and be happy you are here. At least you won't be sneaking around trying to get me to plant a garden early, or get out my summer clothes or lull me into
thinking you have finally put winter away for good.

I will say one thing about your early arrival. My hens gave me 16 eggs today. That is a good thing about you showing up when you did. My hens are happy to be at work doing their job. Now dear spring, I do ask one favor of you, could you stay around a lot longer than you did last year? Last year you took off barely after you arrived. You have been in such a hurry to get here, could you stay awhile and let us get acquainted?
I am not really ready to meet your cousin summer, in April.

All this aside, I am happy you are here now, I mean, officially

Happy First Day of Spring!!!

.~Kim~

This crazy weather has me thinking I'm living in the twilight zone. Your girls look terrific, no bare butts in your flock. I guess most of us have enjoyed a mild winter. I do hope this spring like weather hangs around. I just noticed the pool, I have a feeling you and all the grands will be jumping in soon! Hugs, Julie.

I also so wish for Spring to visit for a long time. Summer here is just way too hot.

Hi Kim, I too welcome spring with open arms. And will be so glad when the trees have their leaves as the pollen is really blowing right now. Enjoy your week.

I was just hoping that we'd have a true spring as well. But, we're looking at mid 80s later this week! At least I'm not shoveling snow! LOL

Happy first day of spring! And congrats on 16 eggs! I, too, hope spring decides to stick around a little longer this year! ;-)

I with you too - don't want summer to get here anytime soon. Congratulations on the 16 eggs!

Spring could last all year as far as I'm concerned, although springtime here in AZ is nothing compared to springtime in the Ozarks. This is when I miss it. Such beautiful greens of all shades.
