1. What was your favorite book as a child?
Oh gee, since my best friends lived in books, Little Britches by Ralph Moody. My Friend Flicka by Mary O'Hara. Airs above the Ground by Mary Stewart. Black Stallion by Walter Farly. Gray Dawn by Albert Payson Terhune. Dog and horse books were my favorites. Sorry Patrice, I had more than one favorite.
2. Dark chocolate, Milk Chocolate, or White Chocolate?
Milk Chocolate every time.
3. What's your biggest "pet peeve" when it comes to your kitchen?
I don't really have any I guess, I love my kitchen and there is always room for one more. It is a very useable kitchen. I always had kitchens that were afterthoughts by the builders and I had to make them work. This kitchen is so nice because we built it and I like how it is all set up and 3 or 4 people can cook in it and people sit at the bar and talk so it is a very friendly kitchen.
4. Do you use any type of water filter in your home? (Whole house, faucet mount, or pitcher)
We have a water purifier under the kitchen sink and the water comes out of the fridge. My husband hooked it up. We drink lots and lots of water. So this is very nice. We go through about 5 gallons a day, We used to have bottled water and the delivery guy told me that we drank too much water. We solved that we got our own purifier. They lost lots of money when we quit.
5. What's the herb you use the most in cooking?
Garlic, I use so much of that. It is my herb of choice.

Your kitchen sounds wonderful! Mine doesn't work the best for me at this point, but we're working on it.

I am with you on the milk chocolate! I read your "grumpy" post...it made me laugh! You are very brave to write it!
The kitchen being the builder's afterthought ... yes, so often it seems that's what it's like. I always think of a thing I read about Steven Spielberg's kitchen. They made it the biggest room in the house, with couches and everything, because that's where everybody hung out. I'd love a kitchen like that.
I love a 'liveable kitchen - I love that our kitchen in the centre of our home. Yours sounds very much like that.

My kitchen is awful. It's small and not very functional. Probably was designed by a man who never went in a kitchen for anything. LOL My mom designed her own kitchen in one of our houses and that thing was AWESOME! Regardless of mine, I still get in there and cook, cook, cook!
Good morning! Your kitchen sounds like my old one. Everyone was always in the kitchen. This one is good, but so much smaller...."you drink too much water" is hilarious. His boss should hear he said this. Have a wonderful day! HUGS

You read a lot as a kid.I think books are one of the best things around. I had some reading difficulties as a kid, so I enjoy it much more now.Your kitchen sounds great. I LOVE garlic and use a lot of it. Have a sunny week!
