Chats on the Farmhouse Porch

It is time to go and visit with Patrice on her porch. This is how the porch looks in the early morning. I am able to sit out here when it is cold because it is protected. If you were able to come and visit we would sit here and have tea.
Okay on with the questions:

 1.   What's your favorite clock- digital or an old fashioned face with hands?

I think It must be the old fashioned kind with hands. That is what I have most in my house. Though I have digital on the appliances, but I always look at the kind with hands to see what time it is, when I look, I mean, most the time I never look. I try to go by the way the sun is in the sky.

2.    What's your favorite type of bird?

Chickens of course. :) Or did you mean a bird that is wild? I have a Meadowlark, that walks around my front yard. He flies but mostly walks. I really enjoy him and watch him all of the time being thoughtful.

3.    How do you feel about being in front of people? This could include meetings, speeches, performing, or just saying something at a party.

Well, I am shy, and I prefer not getting any attention at all, I am most comfortable in the background. (Why on earth I have a blog I have no idea, as it goes against my nature.) But I am a person who does what needs to be done, if I have to I will get up in front of people, I will perform, I will do what it takes to get the job done.

4.    What's the last item of clothing that you purchased?

I took my daughter shopping for her birthday and I bought her all of these really cute dresses and skirts and she looks adorable. I only buy stuff for me when it wears out. :)

5.    Please give me a caption or a Wendell quote for this picture.
" Do these guys not have a home?"

Thank you to Patrice for this weeks questions. I don't know how she comes up with questions week to week, I am glad she does though, thank you Patrice.

Hi Kim, I love your answers especially the last one.
I have so many different birds in my back yard because I feed them and I love the cardinals because of the red plumage but I love all the birds. I'm not so fond of the crows because they can be too noisy especially when they have young ones i their nest. Hugs. JB

What a lovely porch! I really want a go-to-place like this. This will be one of those perks I look for in our next place.

Good answers, I enjoyed getting to know you a little better. Shy, I am not. But, I can relate to being more comfortable in the background. I'm not a center of attention kind of person.

Yeah, that's a funny thing about shyness. I'm basically quite shy, too. Somehow, I've gotten past the public speaking thing - and I blog!

I am basically shy, but I push myself into situations where I have to interact with people. Face to face is hard, speaking in front of a group of strangers, not so hard, and writing to all by blogging friends, easy. Have a good day.

Oh I love your porch, what a comfy and inviting place to visit with family, friends or just with your own thoughts. We are very much alike, I love my "girls" and detest being the center of attention. It is eighty-five degrees here today, I am tempting fate, I'm off to plant the peas! Your friend from Maine, Julie.

What a beautiful porch!

I am like you.....I don't like speaking in front of people. I stress when I know I have to....but I do it when necessary and am always relieved when it's over! :)

I think that's why I like blogging....it's expressing feelings through writing....that's another thing entirely! :)

Enjoyed the questions and your answers!

Have a great evening!

We could find a lot to talk about on that wonderful porch of yours and watch the chickens too....I knew you were going to say chickens...I had the feeling that you were the kind of gal that got done what needed to be done....the kind of gal that's a very good friend....

How I would love to have tea with you!Old fashioned clocks are lovely, but the other are a bit easier to read from a distance.I'm sure chickens are your favorite bird. I'd be surprised with any other answer. :)#4 could have been my answer word for word! I like the caption for the Wendell photo. He would like them to go somewhere. He watches them out of the corner of his eye as he grazes. Have an indescribably incredible, wonderful week!Hugs-

I can identify with all of your answers apart from buying clothes - I enjoy buying a new skirt or shirt now and again.
Best wishes
