Chickens in my Front Yard

I tried to get close to this chicken in my front yard this morning, but as Jesus said, "My sheep know my voice they will not follow another," the same goes for chickens, it is not my chicken so it wanders around but if I get to close it runs away. One of the things I have loved about living here is having chickens in the front yard, or road runners standing out in the front or early now in the morning I can hear a bob- white. This is enough country for me. It is another Friday and I am so glad, the fence will get finished this weekend and then Monday school starts. Farm Girl becomes Teacher Mom.

I didn't know you had roadrunners!

Haha I love how you just have random chickens all over the place. Most people get stray dogs. You get stray chickens.

Yeah, the roadrunner is the strangest bird I have ever seen, sort of like a punk-rocker kind of bird, and they are big. The kind of look confused. Yeah, how much better are stray chickens than stray dogs. Remember the time the white wolf was at my side door? Then it came back and I was stuck hiding in the shed until it left. Yep, never boring.
