A Beautiful November Day

Today is just a beautiful, cloudy, rainy (off and on) day. It rained off and on all night but it isn't a cold rain but just nice to make the dust settle. In fact, we will only get  0.04 of a inch. I can hear the laughter from here, but when you only get less that 10 inches a year of rain, we will take anything at all that isn't sunshine.

I can stay in the house and make huge messes of projects in every room in the house. I have my kitchen table covered in Christmas decorations that I just took out of the oven after drenching them in stain and baking.

It is a tiny decoration for the Christmas tree. I made a larger one for the door. I am still undecided if I will want it inside a wreath or just like it is right now.

I know it is hard to tell the difference right? Okay here is a shot of them both together.

I also was fooling around with my center piece on the dining room table. It turned out pretty nice I think.

I need to plant lots more gourds next year. My stash is running down
I have some other projects in the works. I have Christmas presents started but of course I can't show you a picture yet.

I hope you have a lovely November day, I am ready for Thanksgiving I think. I am also very excited about putting up Christmas lights next week. I really do love when it is time to put up Christmas lights.
Have a wonderful day,
~Kim~

Those moon Santas just tickle my funnybone. I love those! The big one looks especially good with the bell on his hat. :-)

I like the Santa on the door alone. Great job.

Aww, the tiny santa moon is so cute! I like your center piece - it just looks like fall. Hasn't today been wonderful? Everything smells and feels so fresh and it's so clear and beautiful. The rain yesterday was so nice, I hope we get lots more this year. I'm ready for Thanksgiving too, but more so for Christmas!

Kim- Can you email me how you brine your turkey? I understand what it is and I've heard so much about it but have never done it. If it's too much to type, don't worry about it. I'd just like to give it a try. Your centerpiece turned out fantastic! So did your SANTAS! We've had a dreary, coldish, windy November day. My favorite kind!

Hi Kim, I am visiting via Tammy's blog. So nice to visit with you and learn more about you and your family. I love your pretty rugs that you make. I wish you and your family a blessed Thanksgiving.
Drop in for a visit some day. Mildred

Good evening Kim! Glad you are having fun - making Christmas decorations is so much fun! I love both sizes of the Santas - just might need to find extra time for making some of them myself!
God bless
Christine

Your Thanksgiving centrepiece looks perfect.
Love both Santa decorations. Do you mark the date on them. I think that it would be so much fun digging those out and seeing how old they are, years from now.

I'm having difficulty getting in the decorating mode for Christmas and I think that's it's because they start bringing out Christmas decorations in October in the stores everywhere or maybe it's because I'm tired.

Happy Thanksgiving
Hugs,
JB

Love the Santa moon ornaments. They look great. You're so creative. P.S. I laughed about the rain. We can get 10 inches in a weekend.

Love the Santas! And that centerpiece is beautiful. I didn't realize that you got so little rain. How does your garden grow with so little rain?

Looking forward to seeing your Christmas gifts you are making. We got all the decs up yesterday....I have NEVER done it before Thanksgiving before, it is kind of weird. Enjoy your Sunday!

I know what you mean about the very little bit of rain that falls. We're thankful for every drop, aren't we? The santa moon is terrific! I like him. And I like your wooden box centerpiece. Happy Christmas-Creating!

Both Santas are adorable. I'm a wreath type girl so my vote would be to put it on a wreath. I think the colors would be lovely next to the evergreens. I'm also loving your centerpiece in the dining room table. You really have a flair for creativity.
