out a couple of rugs yesterday. I now have four that I need to hook for this coming year. I am working on the snowman rug and my next project will be Mrs. Rabbit.by Sharon Smith.
Ron bought it for me for Christmas so that will be the next big project I do, I will have to die wools for it and that will be so much fun. Here is a picture of Mrs. Rabbit I took when I went to as my kids called it, "The Wool Con."
Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail and Peter. Who will have Camomile tea and blackberries for supper. I have loved this pattern so much since the first time I saw it.
Emilie is going to be matron of honor at a wedding in March. She called the other day to ask if she could have the bridal shower here. I of course said yes, but then she didn't have a date. Yesterday,
my son came down to tell me that he had been asked to make invitations for the shower. I asked, "So did she give you a date by any chance, for this shower?" He said, " Yes, February 8th." Which was three weeks earlier than she had given me. It is good though, now I have motivation to get this house clean and all of the throwing away and to get this house purged. It really needs it.
I love this part of the new year, a blank book filled with blank pages. Just waiting for new adventures, new rugs to hook, new plans to be made and lots of life to be lived. All of it filled with goodness. With just a few threads of black to make life's design come in clearer and more distinct.
Downton Abbey will be on in the U.S. and Canada this week, so how great is that?
Have a wonderful weekend,
~Kim~

how very sweet of you to host the shower - and especially nice since you are good friends with the bride's mom. :)
bunny tobacco. :)
Leave it to you, Kim, to find a totally positive way to look at...everything! We will be hosting a bridal shower too! And having a wedding. I imagine that Breezy will give me the actual shower date when I only have a week or two to prepare also Kids. LOL

Thank you for the happy words! We are having a wedding and adding a sweet girl to our family. So blessed. Can't wait for Downton Abbey this Sunday. Blessings!
I can't wait for Downton Abbey!! I love it!
Your flower photographs have warmed my soul today, negitive 21.5 this morning....A high tea bridal shower sounds like so much fun and your lovely home is the perfect location to have it...The new rug hooking pattern looks like it will be a lot of fun to hook...and dye wools for...Greetings from the tundra...
Happy Saturday evening to you, Kim! I am not actually very well-prepared for the cold weather that is coming here. I own no wool pants or Cuddle Duds, even, and my coats are not really very heavy. It is very rare that such would be needed. I just plan on staying in where it is warm.
Very nice rug pattern! I am anxious to see your progress on it.
What fun! A bridal shower in February! Yes, it is fun to see the younger women working on a project like this.
I think it's just fine to look at seed catalogs in January! This is a great month for dreaming!
xo Nellie
I like your outlook for the new year. I hope the blank pages are soon filled with happy memories.
The cold has not yet hit Ohio (it was in the mid 30's today), but by Monday it will be frigid. I don't belong here...lol!
Hugs :)
Lauren
I haven't started thinking about seeds yet, but we did prune our one remaining rosebush yesterday! I have yet to put supports for the sweet peas...that's how much I don't like being out in the cold of January - should have done it in October!
I love the rabbit rug!
So very appealing, and sweet.
I'd rather watch chickens too, grin!
I just love that Mrs. Rabbit rug! I can't wait to see yours finished. You inspire me with your positive attitude!
Hi Kim! I'm home now. It's so snowy here!
I LOVE that bunny! How long will it take you?
Hi Kim, I love Mrs. Rabbit-I once did a needlepoint of an almost identical pattern. AS for warm weather-girl, we have about 8" of snow on the ground so I'm not even thinking spring yet(will be when we go to the islands in April). Love that you are opening your home to your daughter and her friends. Have a great Sunday.

I love your Peter Rabbit's Mom too!
It makes me want to hook...
I will be watching Downton Abbey tonight at 9PM here!
