Lots of Baking Today

I thought I would write a short post to say, I hope you are having a nice week. Along with the garage door, one of the other things that the cold makes blinky, is the internet. I didn't have internet yesterday, until late. It will just die and there is nothing I can do to make it work. So I am in and out. I am baking cookies today for a cookie/ornament exchange tomorrow and yesterday, my recipes I was going to make were on my computer.
I learned something keep hard copies.

We have had pretty blue skies and the cold is a nice change. I am so thankful for the new coop. I love locking the hens in at night, sort of like tucking them in. Yesterday I thought I would let them out in the yard for awhile and not a single one wanted out. I guess that means they like it.
Have a lovely Thursday. I need to start assembling ingredients. I wish I could send you a cookie or two through the screen. It would be so nice to sit and talk and get caught up on life.

Yes, it would be really nice to share a cookie or two with you, Kim. I'm baking today, too! The warm oven will help take the chill off your cold temperatures. xo Nellie

Good morning! Baking sounds good...I am going to do some tomorrow. How I'd love to sit down and have a long chat with you. We don't live soo far apart that we couldn't figure that out sometime. Who know, maybe 2014 will be the year. Enjoy your day! Your house looks soo pretty lit up!

WOW!!! your place is all lit up like a palace. Well it is a palace and you are the queen, baking cookies. I'd love to pop over and drink a cup of coffee and nibble on a few of your cookies. That would make my day...

I'm finally decorating the tree but I have to do it different this year because apparently James love to take the ornaments off the tree and he tries to put them somewhere else since he helped his mom to decorate their tree. He's three feet tall and his arm can reach an extra foot, hahaha and my tree is only 7 foot high.

I hope that the internet doesn't quit on you and that your citrus trees are OK.

Hugs,
JB

Warm cookies--the best kind of all.
If I were the chickens, I'd want to stay in as well.

Your home looks so welcoming, all the lights a-twinkle.

Yes, this cold snap does wreak havoc on all sorts of things.
For the second time in a week, one of our vehicles is registering a check engine light. Last week it was the car, and this week it is the pickup.
The car is fixed, and tomorrow the pickup will get checked out.

Guess temperatures in the negatives are bothersome to mechanical things, as well as people !

Enjoy your baking exchange, and puttering around in the kitchen today.
A perfect Christmas time activity.

What a pretty sight! Love all the lights on your house.
I hear you on the internet woes. Every time it rains ours goes out. The phone company (that supplies our internet) says it has nothing to do with the rain... but I can guarantee it will go out even in a drizzle.
Have a blessed Christmas!

I'm so glad you don't have jury duty this year. :) I have been baking all morning, and now I get to clean (more). It will be nice to have the house all scrubbed. See you tomorrow! I can't wait!

Your home looks like it should be featured on a Christmas card or magazine!
Cookies together would be great and I'll make some shortbread!
Wouldn't that be so great?

Your home is beautiful, all lit up !
I have been baking cooking cookies every few days...
whenever I bake, I package up a couple dozen and mail them to one of my daughters who lives far away. She has been getting fresh cookies for a few weeks now. Fun. ;)
