Forward Ho!!!

The tree is boxed up and in the shed, the lights are off the outside of the house. Every thing is vacuumed and put back in order. Ron looked at me and with a shocked tone said, " OCD's Unite!! It is 8:30 on December 26th and we are done." We got up early this morning and never looked at the clock. We just went to work.

He is out in the back yard tearing down the old chicken house and I thought I would stop in briefly before I go haul wood for him out to the side so the wood can be cut up and thrown away. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. Ours was nice and was full of lots of fun. Now onto 2014!!!

Have a delightful day,
~Kim

You're quite an inspiration! I always hold on to Christmas until after the New Year's... but, maybe it might be good to move on a little earlier this year...

Actually, our Christmas came too early - and we are leaving our tree up for a few more days - until our daughter returns to her place. I love the morning stillness in this letdown time, after all the hectic pace, when I am able to turn on the tree lights and be enjoy the calmness. xo Nellie

LOL I cannot stop giggling. I thought I was the only OCD freak about getting the tree down the day after! I hit the floor running this morning and my living room was back to normal by 3 this afternoon. I didn't have any help though- lucky you!

Oh man that was quick. I love to drag on Christmas celebrations till the Epiphany which is January sixth. It makes winter brighter here at the North Pole,
It's good that you both agree.

Take care my friend.

I felt a lot like you today, but decided to leave the Christmas stuff up for a few more days. I did take down the creche from the front yard. We've had snow thawing and freezing and I didn't want it stuck down in my yard. Today was a thawing day.

Onward -- with all things cleaned up and cleared out!

When Christmas is over, it is over and I long for a clean, fresh slate. A new year before us.

Wow, you are ambitious! Our tree is artificial so I think I will leave it up for a while longer ... when we had a real tree, it would have to get taken down the day after Christmas! ;-)

Oh, and I too am looking forward to 2014. Not that 2013 was a bad year, but I find myself really looking forward to 2014.

I did not decorate much this year but had the same feeling as you. Up and out! We should think of some decorations to commemorate New Years. Didn't there used ti be something about an old man leaving and a baby arriving? I couldn't help myself I kept playing Christmas music although I was completely over Christmas Thursday morning. Jolly good to you. We have been having gorgeous days and I am ready to tackle projects outside. Are we going to see any pictures of Christmas Eve?

pretty impressive! I hung a couple of wreaths with sad, tatty ribbons that needed to be replaced. I bought the bows and they still sit in the bag...maybe next year.
