It is Offical, She said Yes!

On the night of the blue moon, Nik asked Em's to marry him. She said yes, I am so happy. When we were having babies and we would sit at the dinner table and someone around the table would look up and they would say,  " Some one is missing, we need another baby." The wonderful thing about this time of life, is they bring them in the door and I still get a new member added to our family. Ever since Nik walked through that front door, he has been like a son to our family. We couldn't be more happy or excited. Em's has brought home lots of frogs who didn't turn into princes. Nik was a prince from the very first meeting. I asked her once, " Do they not make nice boys anymore?"

We get to go dress shopping, and we get to do all of the fun stuff and I can tell you I am so glad there is Pinterest. The other two weddings, I spent a fortune on Amazon buying books.

Oops, this is just boys being boys.

I am so happy, not to mention glad I can talk about it now. I was sworn to secrecy and I almost slipped so many times, so I ended up telling these lies to cover up the slip. I have been on pins and needles. I think it will be in the spring. So it will be a wonderful thing to look forward to, one of the things that has been fun, is I started praying for my children's mates while they were babies. Now I get to meet who I prayed for and I can tell you 3 out of 3 have been beyond my wildest dreams and beyond anything I ever asked for and all I can say, as Mrs. Bennet says in Pride and Prejudice " Oh Mr. Bennet, God has been very, very good to us."

Congratulations! Yes, Mrs. Bennett gets it right some times... "Marriage? Is that all you think about, Mother?" "Lizzie, when you have 5 girls of your own, you tell me what else you will think about" I loved her enthusiasm, and I love yours. What a loving mother-in-law you are! I am glad your daughter is done finding "Mr. Wickhams"! God bless!

Congratulations. Nik is a lucky guy to join your wonderful family. I'm also happy you don't have to keep a secret any longer. It's kind of cool he did it at the blue moon.

Oh Kim, I *loved* that post. Our older three are coming to that age (they're 19, 17, 15) and like you, I have prayed for their future spouses since they were babies.... How wonderful and encouraging for me to see your prayers being answered.
May God bless the young couple, and your home as you have 'additions' to add to your joy :))

By the way ... I think they need to honeymoon in Scotland, and come visit with us ;)

Laughing at that, and think I'll adopt it: "Frogs shall not prevail" !!!!

Congrats all around! They are an absolutely adorable couple! And they look so happy! Deanie has kissed a lot of frogs too. This gives me hope for her prince. That and, I too, have been praying for their future spouses since they were babies. Breezy is the only one married but her hubby is a prince. And Birdie has a serious boyfriend who is also a prince. Ever hopeful! Can't wait to hear all about the prep!
