This morning, every thing was dripping like it rained. We are going to get rain next week so I am so happy about all of it every single day. Every morning when I wake up I feel like I am waking to the best day that there ever was. Rain and fog are like that to me.
Though, I get to where I am crazy for color. So yesterday, I just had to make something to bring in some color. Cleaning out the closets and the cupboards I have ran across things. I found one of Emilie's old umbrellas one day. I knew just what I was going to do with it. Living in the desert like we do, umbrellas don't get used very much so this one looks brand new.
I love the colors. |
I think fresh ones would be nice too. |
Last night, it was so foggy you couldn't see down the driveway. There was a cat fight or maybe a fox committed a murder. I tried to do CSI on the crime scene and didn't come up with any clues. I went out to check because there was so much fur I thought it was one of my Silkies. I will spare you the details but it was really gory. As I was looking at it, Ron's take on it was " He just thought it was another case of the Catfields and the McCoys " I thought it was so cute I just had to share it with you.
I hope you are having a lovely day. It is has been so nice to have lots of hooking to do. I sold two rugs.
I feel so honored and thankful for that. I feel so blessed to be able to do what I love. Dreams really do come true.
Have a wonderful day,
Kim

my lips shall praise You."

Hi Kim! The tulip/umbrella bouquet is so cute!
laughing! :) love the umbrella and tulip decor!
we had one morning this past week where the fog was so thick, i thought it was raining, too.
Congrats on your rug sales. Now you can buy more wool ... grin :)
So happy you are getting rain.

Aren't you a ray of sunshine today....Thank you for the pretty ideas to brighten things up. I love the umbrella idea and I am going to make one tomorrow....So glad you are getting all this rain...It's sunny and beautiful here today and I am enjoying that too....Hugs....Can't wait for my package to arrive....
I love the umbrella tulips! I think suddenly they'll pop up everywhere now. :-)
I'm so glad you like the fog! I think I would be very depressed, though--I was walking in the sun today, thankful for blue skies. :-)
Rain and fog and drippy-ness is all goodness after you've been through a drought. I'm glad you're getting wet. I really like the umbrella bouquet. It looks very real to me. I wouldn't tell anyone.
May you never know drought again.
I am glad you are sounding so happy, Kim! Hopefully this is breaking the drought cycle! Loved this post! xo Nellie
Whoa, the umbrella thing is so cool! I love it. Now I have to go umbrella hunting. Enjoy your weather ;)
I like the umbrella door vase. Enjoy your wet day.
Hugs,

Anything "mattress ticking", is a winner !!
We have also had a lot of fog, (along with snow). Fog has a way of blanketing the house and it's always a good time to stitch, hook, punch ;)

What a neat idea ... flowers in that umbrella. So cute.
It's funny ... I was a little bummed with the rainy, dreary day we had here. Reading your post this morning put it in perspective for me. ;-)
i always LOVE everything you make kim but that umbrella, wow, pow, it's just awesome!! love that cute little heart as well....you made one for me a while back, i keep it on a shelf in my home office!!!
I'm glad to hear you're getting some moisture! We're having snow today...and I'm looking forward to sunshine. Love those bright colors...it's a sure way to brighten up a dreary day!
I think your umbrella door decoration is wonderful! You are so clever. It would certainly fit in here, since we have had so much rain lately. If this were snow, we'd be buried under a lot. We have lots of mud everywhere. It amazes me how we can have so much moisture in the winter, and drought most summers. Oh, well. God always gives us what we need. I hope all is going well for you and your family.
Your pictures are so pretty. Love how the springtime umbrella turned out.. so pretty and cheerful.
Cute valentine decoration also.
Yay! I'm so happy for you that you sold more rugs!! Congratulations!!
Enjoy this rainy/foggy weather you are having.

I love the spring time umbrella, and your cloth heart on the weathered board. Very sweet! I thought the flowers were real! :)
Happy Monday to you!
I love that on your door!
I esp. would not have thought of wood glue on the fabric heart, hhuummm!
I love the fog too!
I have noticed, too, that the ground is still damp, and it must be from the fog, because it's not from rain! Moisture is good.
Cute door decor!
