How I Love Storms.

This morning our weather company in our local area, had this picture for the forecast this week.
It just makes me so happy. The thing that made me just chuckle was the weather agency is sort of stogy. When I really want to know about weather and I go to the forecast discussion page, I always call it the Nerd Cast. They use words like progged and NWSW and things like that. I love reading about it so it is okay.
This morning when they had a picture of a dancing raindrop, I knew we had all been without weather for sometime.
This is the wonderful clouds coming in, I wish you could smell how fresh the air smells. I wonder if it smells that way in Alaska all of the time?
Here is another shot of the clouds.
It is funny, our oranges need cold weather to get ripe and so does the avocados. The oranges are getting sweeter and juicier as the days remain cold. This should go on about a week. Yes, I know I live in a place that brags about all of the sunshine and nice weather, but it has been so long without any weather that this little bit is so nice.
I just love to go outside and walk in it and just watch the clouds like sailing ships run with the wind across the sky.
Have a lovely Monday!
~Kim~

Yes! It has been so perfectly cloudy. We were so happy yesterday to sit around with it cloudy and gloomy and I am very very excited about the prospect of rain next week! It's been too long!

I would love to taste some of those home grown oranges. From the few "fresh" oranges that I've tasted, those are THE BEST!

I also love a good storm! I could almost smell spring in the air when looking at your pictures and reading your description!

Hi Kim, I think your rain clouds are going to bring snow our way; I think you should just keep the storm with you. When you talk about oranges and avocados I remember how we could have lemon trees too in northern Ca. and how wonderful fresh lemons were. Now we pay for them, for oranges and avocados.
Have a wonderful Monday.

Those of us who farm or garden are truly dependent on the weather conditions for a good harvest. Our storms here become quite fierce on occasion, and no one wants to be out when those come along!

Yea, I can comment today!
Kim
Enjoy your storms. I love them too.
Especially thunder and lightening!
Rain is good. But without the excitement to go along with it, it's like cold weather without snow to me.
I pray you get plenty for next years garden needs.

Oh to see weather from someone else's perspective....! 'Joy' at raindrops; a 'jig' danced at clouds; 'ecstasy' at the thought of a storm !!!
These are emotions I feel when I see blue up in yonder sky!

How cold is your cold Kim? Today it is 10 degrees here. I know it doesn't get that cold, but am just curious if you need to wear a heavy winter coat? I wish I could go out in my yard a pick an orange or an avocado. Feeling lousy, I am getting that miserable cold that the rest of my house spread all over the place.

Hi Kim, I never got your email today. I wonder what happened. I hope I didn't delete it by accident. Sometimes without my glasses I click before I actually see what I'm doing.

I hope that you get the type of weather that you describe. I'm envious of your oranges ripening and your avocados too. Here we have ice on the ground and it's freezing cold. The daylight is getting longer little by little.

Yes! The air does smell fresh and clean in Alaska all the time! It is 7 degrees F here - pretty crisp!

I love the smell of a storm also...and I too go out and enjoy the wind blowing it our way. Changes are coming our way, and then back up to spring type weather.
Enjoy!

What a beautiful rendition of the early mornin' storm.

Mine...not so pretty. It was 5am when I went to stir the fire. The wind caught the backdoor as the rain drenched my sleepy body. I grabbed one stick of wood, followed by the second and third. Lightin' flashed and the thunder was deafenin'. Ya see, I fear storms.

Your pictures are wonderful sweetie!

Have a brightly blessed day sweetie!!! :o)
