Sweet Summer Days

I do hope you are having a wonderful Summer. One filled with just lots of wonderful memories. My grandson and I were talking before he left to go home. I told him something,  I asked him, if for me would he look for one thing every day to be happy about. I realized that I need to look carefully around me and pay attention for the good things to be happy about too.

This is one of the things that I found that for some reason gives me such joy, that I laugh to myself every time.
I am leaving them right here until next time the boys come over to swim. These are Mr. Munchie's he must have taken them off when he was getting his bathing suit on.

This is what I found this morning to be happy about.

Socks missing a boy.
Baby Gourds
Bumblebees in flowers.

Cinderella Pumpkins waiting to be turned into a coach.

Springs on vines.
Moon glow waiting for fall.

Sunflowers on a beautiful morning.

A five gallon bucket of beets waiting to be pickled.
The desert rose blooming, (aka fat bottom girls)
So many wonderful things today to be thankful for and to be happy about. I hope you have wonderful day. I have so much to get done this morning. Like beets and pickles.

Oh, I just love those socks ! How tender...they would put a smile on my face too. I like any plant that has tendrils that reach for something to hold on to ;)

Those are some very sweet things to be happy about. I am keeping a daily happiness journal this year. I started it January 1 and all I do is write down one thing that made me happy or, at the very least, one thing positive about each day. It's not always easy.

My grandson(s) always leave something behind when he (they) come here. It never fails.

Your garden sure is growing by leaps and bounds. Beautiful harvest... I love pickled beets. It looks like you have quite the variety.

So glad you are enjoying your summer and that you have so many things to be happy about! Your pickles and relish look wonderful. Canned veggies are so pretty...love all the colors! We have done 8 quarts of green beans so far. The next harvest will go to our friend who is going to check on things while we are at the beach! She's never picked beans before, but she's a quick learner! :-)

Your summer memories and thankfulness are precious! I too am trying to find more joy in small things! I didn't plant beets this year, I still had plenty from last year, yours look so good.
Today we will be picking and canning corn.
Enjoy your day,
Hugs,
Sue
