I got to have my grandsons this last weekend. We did lots of things. When they stay over our first stop is my shed and they get to go through their Dad's and uncles toy boxes. Then they bring it all back in the house. It was cold and cloudy that day. So they didn't get to play in the big sand pile.
I think their Mom will have to give them lots of good food this week. Grandma fixed things like hot chocolate with whip cream and lots and lots of sprinkles. They learned to spray whip cream by themselves. Then they had corn dogs and pizza and macaroni and cheese. Though Grandpa did fix waffles for them. We watched Iron Giant after pizza. I read them Indian in the Cupboard. We went for walks and they dug up every ant hill we passed. They drew rainbows because we had rain and a very nice rainbow was visible from the house.
The boys who live here were busy helping Emilie and Nik move to our side of town. Which is going to be so nice. So it was a busy weekend all and all. Now to get my house all ship shape again. There is lots to do. I hope you have a lovely week.

What fun! I enjoy Indian in the Cupboard, too! How nice to have your daughter move nearby. When is your birthday? xo Nellie
Must have been the weekend for spending time with grandkids, hey? Though, you have a lot more than I have coming to visit. Rejuvenation, indeed, with the young ones around, hey? xo
I love the pictures! That is a great Darkwing Duck outfit. And all th toys! Who did the backpack belong to, I wonder?
I love the Indiana Jones hat!! Looks like the boys had a blast. Always a treat to spend time with them, I'm sure
Kim
You're g'sons are so adorable.
Wow, I bet they didn't want to go home, they had so much fun with g'ma and g'pa!
such a cute crew! love your devoted sasha, too.
Looks like fun, but I bet you had your hands full with that darling little pack! We have the video for Indian in the Cupboard and it is one of my grandkids favorites! I love it too. Yes, I heard heat is on the way. I am not exactly dancing jigs about it over here though, lol. Hope you have a GOOD week!
The picture of your grandkids is so cute. What fun they have when they visit you!
adorable, very lucky little grands!!
I do not know who had the best day: your or your gr-kids! Lucky grandma.
Thank you so much, again, for watching them this weekend. It made things so much easier. And they had a ton of fun! I keep hearing "At Gramma Kim's house we did (fill in the blank)". ;)
The boys are still adorable and of course getting so big. It sounds like you guys had a wonderful time. You are fortunate to have a long growing season. I had to smile reading about the ant hills. All boys are the same.
Oh I love the costume and the little actor in it. too cute. My daughter had a full trunk of costumes that her kids played with. What fun...
I spent part of the afternoon holding my great grandson. What a joy he was. I didn't had my camera but we were hitting it on perfectly. I had so much fun and then I had to come back home to the farm to feed my calves.
It's cold, damp and windy here today.
Hugs,
JB
Oh Kim, they're making wonderful memories from Grandma's house. Those are the best ones!! What cuties!
Your pictures remind me of the era when our first six grandchildren, all boys ! lived nearby and I would have the lot of them from time to time. I was a lot younger then and it still wore me out fast. What a joy to have a houseful of your progeny!
Yes, i agree with you. It is a nice time to watch the kids playing with them!
I enjoy all your post and i am a follower of your blog. I wish you to visit my blog and be a member of mine!
Such a precious..precious post. You are such a great grandmother and memory maker. This last weekend I brought home the toys my children played with at their grandmother's house when they were young. They are being passed down, such bitter sweet, she no longer can have the great grands come see her, but I will have them here for them to play with.
What a precious post...it makes me smile and look forward to many more grandmother days ahead.
Enjoy the 100 degrees, we are going be down in the 30's in the evening again here.
Oh what a handsome group of boys !!
