Today's Thoughts

Good Morning!
I hope this day finds you well and happy. Its beautiful here today. On Sunday, I wrote a post. I shared my heart and I ended up taking it down because of just let me say, someone strongly disagreed with what I wrote. I didn't want to get into a war with someone I don't know or have ever met and as far as I know, I have never had a comment or have visited their blog. As I stated it was my opinion. I won't bring up what I wrote again, but I will state. Without our Constitution. our Bill of Rights, and the Rule of Law, we are no better than dictatorship. Without freedom of speech and the ability to voice ideas, we might as well live in our houses forever and never speak up for what is right.

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew

Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me
 Martin Niemöller

Thank you for the sweet people who did not attack me after what I wrote. Even for you too Kate for voicing your opinion. Are we not all Americans? Do we all not have differing opinions? I wrote mine. If you have a differing  opinion from mine.  Write it on your own blog. This blog is mine.
AS well as my thoughts. I won't come and scream at you. I promise.

Have a wonderful day,
Kim

I agree!! Wondering what was in the post. But I admire you for not fanning the flames. :)

No flames to be fanned ladies. She expressed her opinion, I expressed mine. Instead of a discussion ensuing, my comment was removed. Fine, your blog, your right. As a nurse and the mother and aunt of many health care workers and first responders, I simply would like to ask you all to stop putting my family at risk by not appreciating how important the TEMPORARY government restrictions are at the moment. I have seen first hand how devastating this virus is. I do not want any of my family members to die this awful death because you could not skip one family holiday dinner or one Sunday at church. I do not want any of your family members to end up in my hospital on a ventilator and dying ALONE. This virus is a disease. It can kill you. You can infect other people and kill them. It is not a government plot or some socialist scheme to steal your rights. IT IS A KILLER DISEASE, please respect that. And respect my and my family's daily risking of our lives to save yours. That was all the reply was. I am sorry that you felt I was attacking you by simply putting scientific facts on the table. Please understand that my reply came from my heart and out of love and concern for my family and my family of coworkers. If you want to remove this comment as well, feel free...but please understand that ALL health care workers and first responders feel this way...PLEASE STAY HOME AND STAY SAFE.

Sending sanitized hugs here too. This isolation is difficult for everyone.
I've been spending more time on the computer while waiting to see if the water level will stay as is as we are on flood watch once again. I got a bit of flowerbed cleaning today. The fresh air was priceless.

Stay safe and well.
Hugs, Julia

Well I am glad you came back and I took down the whole post. Good for you for serving in this way. I am continuing to do research. I will do what is right for my family. As you are doing what you feel right for your own family. I respect your opinion. There are both sides in any discussion. I have mine and you have yours. I don’t think you will change my mind and I know I won’t change yours. So we must politely disagree.
Respectfully
Kim

I think we ARE politely disagreeing. PLEASE do research...read the stories of families who have lost loved ones, the stories of health care workers not seeing their families for weeks because they are afraid to infect their babies and spouses, read the numbers, read the data. Read the science not the hype. While we may never agree on this topic I do have to say your beautiful photos have made this awful time more beautiful. Thank you for them.

I have done the research since December when it first was reported in Wuhan. I was praying in my room for the life of my family and friends then. Nothing in the media. I have never stopped researching. Here is a great book that came out yesterday. https://www.amazon.com/Plague-Corruption-Restoring-Promise-Science-ebook/dp/B07S5H6T4Q/ref=sr_1_1?crid=OMSFD1804OGB&dchild=1&keywords=plague+of+corruption&qid=1586987962&s=hpc&sprefix=plague+of+%2Chpc%2C303&sr=8-1
It is about the true science. The lady who worked in the field of this research. Its out of stock now on Amazon but will be back in print soon. It is on Kindle though.
Thank you for your compliments. I prefer the pictures and my garden more.

Well....I now have a sorely bitten tongue. I obviously missed the "subject" post, but get the "drift" of things from the above comments. As you say, there are always different opinions, but we should each be entitled to what we feel....and feel free to speak that. I have many strong opinions on this whole thing but have feared voicing them except to those I know well and know who are either of the same mind, or at least able to respect that someone might have an opinion that differs from their own. I get this illness can be deadly...but no more so than the influenza that kills many-fold more than this is and likely ever will. I also struggle with the fact that while I understand that precautions may be advisable in some respects and in some areas, this has gone a bit above and beyond... Small businesses are forced to close (and ruining many people's livelihoods in the doing) but selfish people insistent on hoarding toilet paper and hand sanitizer can congregate at Walmart? I am sure I have said too much, but, hey...it is, after all, just my opinion. I love your quote...so timely and aptly said. I need to tuck that in my repertoire of wise things said. Hope I have not said too much.... ~Robin~

God help us all...sketchy science and misinformation. I sincerely hope none of you end up in a hospital, on a vent, dying without your loved ones because you did not take this seriously enough. Good luck.Good bye.
