A Large Rooster

This will be a quick post as my work is calling my name. Its a big work day weed eating and tree trimming.
I had to show you in case you need a good laugh this morning. Yesterday I needed chicky food. I went to Tractor Supply. ( My favorite store.) Also to check out the chick situation. When as I am wandering around looking at every thing I came across this standing in the aisle.

Taller than me!! I giggled to myself a bit. Then walked around it. If I had a spare 200 dollars, I know just where I would put it in the yard. Isn't it grand? I took a picture of it just show I could show it to you.
I think it is magnificent.

I also found a bag of flowerbed cleaning motivation.

A whole bag of Zinnia mix. I found a bag like this the first year we moved here. I planted the whole bag in one of my flowerbeds. I had wall to wall zinnias!!! I haven't seen them like this in a long time. It was the last bag so I was so glad that it was there for me. Its too cold yet, but just seeing that bag sitting there really makes me push through the soreness.

Here is the rug that I am trying to work on. I have to fall back on the 10 minute rug hooker thing right now.
So I will get this finished 10 minutes a day.

Pattern by Julie at Old Tattered Flag.

I should get out there, Ron will start without me. I am limb hauler today.
Have a lovely day,
~Kim~

My wish for you today is that all of your rainy days may be filled with rainbows. That the dark clouds
will be filled with gold.

Heh Kim, get your son to make a big rooster for you. I'm sure he could fabricate one out of spare metal or get some metal from the scrap yard. I bet his would be even better than this one. I LOVE roosters too.

Beautiful rug pattern you're working on now. 10 minutes a day is a great way of keeping the project going. I find that when I hooked 10 minutes a dad, it sometimes stretched to half an hour and sometimes more.

I've never seen those package of ready to plant seeds in a potting mixture. It sounds like the easy way of doing it.
Earwigs always destroy my zinnias as soon as they are out of the ground. Very disappointing.
Don't work too hard.
Hugs,
Julia

Utilizing the Compound Effect, I see! I do my writing/editing the same way.

If you want a rooster, why don't you cut up some wood and build one? :-D

My mother would have bought that rooster. She loves them! Hope you're having a lovely day for being outside!

I do love that rooster. I bought a much smaller, similar version at Kohl's a few years ago.
Your rug is off to a great start.
Hugs :)

I love zinnias! I will need to look for a bag of that mix.
10 minutes isn't very long to hook - takes that long to get supplies out !!

I love that rooster. I can picture it standing guard by your chicken coop. That skunk wouldn't know what to do. Lol

Hello Kim - that is certainly a magnificent rooster. I'd love to see it in your yard. The zinnias are promising wonderful things later in the year. Don't work too hard hauling those limbs...

I really love that rooster!
Your next rug design, maybe?
I also love zinnias, but have never seen a bag like that.
Slugs eat zinnias terribly here.
But I usually try some anyway, I love the green envy ones,
And red and purple.

Oh zinnias! I love them and I am planning to plant a bunch this year too. I've never seen a bag like that filled with a complete zinnia garden. Awesome! That is ONE BIG ROOSTER!

Enjoy your work day outdoors.
