First Monday in May; May The Fourth Be with You.

I want to say thank you for all of the sweet birthday wishes you left for me. I enjoyed each and every one. It was a very nice birthday. As a added gift from God, I think, I don't have to go to jury duty today. So I can get all of my work done today and when I go in the morning I can sit without the mantra of work going through my mind. I felt very blessed.

Ron and I worked in the flowerbeds and got that off my list of things to do. Then on my birthday, it was a warm day so I washed all of the cushions that were on the patio chairs and all of the outdoor furniture.  I got the porches all cleaned and rearranged.

My favorite view of the porch in the morning.
The other side of the porch to the right of the front door.
The quiet porch next to my office.
After I cleaned and rearranged, it was time to cook. Best food I think I have ever made. I think one of the happiest sounds is the sound of people exclaiming over good food and saying, " Mom, this is so good!" Or as my youngest grandsons said, " Grandma Kim! This is delicious!"

Best cake ever!
It was a very, very good cake. Though, I don't know if it is worth the work. It took three hours to make. I think strawberry pizza is fast and easier and just as good. Though, this was excellent. Here is the link for the recipe.

Then the chicken and salmon were just amazing. I will be making this again. I wouldn't be surprised if this recipe didn't become a birthday favorite.

Balsamic Grilled Chicken

I can take pictures of flowers but I am not a good food photographer. The recipe is here
Every thing else was very tasty.

Ben and Megan brought over a lovely, huge pot of lilies for me.

It was just a wonderful day. It feels so good to be back. Just a plug but the minerals are working. I am not the Energizer  bunny Ron is by any means, but at least I can start to kind of keep up.

It is a lovely day here, our heat broke so today is beautiful and so much cooler. I hope you have a lovely week. Now time to get to the mountain in my laundry room, Mt Dirty Clothes. I will be working to scale it all day.
Happy Monday!
~Kim~

Your porch is something I have dreamed of all my life, but it isn't going to happen this late in my life. You are blessed to have such a amazing place to sit and stitch or in my case also rug hook.

Kim, I so glad your birthday was so special and that the food was amazing. You're a great cook. I wish I lived closer darn it. I would have tried a tiny bit of everything but the strawberries ( severe allergies).
Everyone is right, you are so lucky to have such a nice porch.
It looks so nice and clean.

Have a great day.

Yes, the minerals are very good, very pep-inducing! YAY!
Off to the post office.
I'm so glad the weather has cooled a bit!
