Mid Week

Here is is already Wednesday. My poor neglected blog. I keep trying to think of something to write. There is just so much to do right now, I find it hard to sit or be in the house. I know it is April and that smelling toasty is what we smell in June, but it is a very nice smell. I thought you would like to know that my new hula-hoe works like a dream. I worked on a 1/2 acre this morning. I really wanted to do a whole acre, but the muscles aren't up to it yet. Working in flowerbeds is so much harder.

There was a blimp out flying around this morning. It was too far away to get a good picture. I hope it comes back this way and I can get a good shot. I was watching a blue Heron and a egret flying over last night. I really love to see how they fly with their legs straight out with perfect flying posture. I think the neighbor I have that lives behind us must have got some new Koi for his pond. Lots of those kinds of birds have been making a beeline for his yard. They always know. Even when I lived in town, our next door neighbors put in a really nice Koi pond and I would be out in my back yard and a heron would just come flying over the fence after having his breakfast.

I hope you have a lovely day today.  I always like Wednesdays. I always feel odd about it too. Since technically, it really is Woden's Day.
I always find it interesting to find out things like that. I ran across a very cool phase and I have been trying to work it into conversation, but haven't been able to, but here it is, " ‘dree my own weird’ Isn't that just great?
Dree means to endure, and weird means destiny or fate so it means, submit to your destiny. If I had a Scottish accent I would say, " ‘dree ma ain weird’ That is why I love old books, you find such treasure like that.

Have a great middle of the week.

that is exactly why i've never put in a koi pond (although i've always wanted one.) i knew the herons and egrets would have a FIELD day!

My parents have a fish pond, and they've seen herons steal their fish too!
Happy "hump day" to you! It's gorgeous here today...not enough hours to do everything that needs to be done!

Adorable header picture.... love those black eyed susans!
You should see my black eyed susans... they are just about 3 inches tall, and not a bloom in sight....**smile**. Oh well, one of these days, it will stay warm enough, and they will bloom a-plenty.

Blogging in general around here, has suffered.... writing and reading blogs both.
The weather is so beautiful, and after winter it is hard to sit still and read or write :)

Good job on getting the weeding done!!

~Have a happy day .

Time is flying and lots to do here too and I can't seem to find as much time to stitch. I think I'm unsettled with the change in seasons.
Enjoy your time in the garden.

Glad you updated! I'm attempting to kick this sickness by doing a green smoothie purge day. I'm gonna alkalize this darn body of mine until no germs can survive! Kale and spinach for the win!

Ha ha! Kessie's funny!
The herons are doing the same in my neighborhood!
Way to go with the hula hoe! You'll need a hot bath!

Happy hump day to you. Who would have thought Kim's weird? Not I. I just find her hysterical.

I happen to love Wednesday or Hump day. It's the middle of the week and oh my goodness, it time to turn the calendar page already...

Your Black-eye Susan are so pretty and I think you are feeling better with the new hula hoe. Half an acre is a lot of weeding. You're going to wear out this one too, hehe.

Well I have dree ma ain weird this week with all that rain and cold. There's not much I can do about it anyway...

My daughter Skyped me today and I told her about your your vitamin and mineral supplements and she checked out your post and read the label on the blog and is going to look for it at the drugstore or get it from Amazon. She's a chemist and is familiar with supplements.

Have a great rest of the week.
Hugs,
JB

How wonderful that you saw that heron and egret! There was once a heron that we would see on occasion, but it has been several years. Development has probably forced it elsewhere.
Hope that hula-hoe didn't work you too hard! xo Nellie

I shall have to try one of those hoes. Gotta be easier than just pulling weeds.

Your plants are looking great.

Lovely flowers ! We had a pond with fish in it and it was ducks that kept taking off with the fish and make the area a mess lol ! Needles to say we don't have the pond or fish any more lol ! I don't find it hard to post on my blog as it can be a daily thing depending on the photos I take but what I find hard is reading all the wonderful blogs I enjoy and follow and commenting lol can take few hours to do that alone lol ! Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !
