On Monday I felt like someone removed one of my arms. By Wednesday every thing was back to normal and I was happy to rattle around happily doing my own thing. In fact, it felt a bit like I was on vacation. when it got too quiet so I would crank my music. I haven't done that in years. I would go for a walk with Sasha when I wanted and the biggest surprise of all was there wasn't dishes in the sink every time I walked in. When they came in I was so lonesome I was excited to see them and hear about their day. I think it is going to be a very nice transition.
Tuesday I made candles.

i cried for a month when my boys went off to college, a whole month. then one day i woke and realized, hey, this is awesome!!
i have hobbies, there are things i like to do, i have a life.....i never looked back!!
i am ready for fall scents in the house. i am going to "buy" some candles!!
My goodness, Kim! Is there anything you DON'T do? Dye your own wool; make your own candles! I am thoroughly impressed!
With no school to do, you are now able to do what YOU want to do. In my retirement, I very often lose track of the time.:-) That is strange coming from someone who has been so structured for much of my life!

I LOVE candles, but I've never thought about making them. I burned a candle last night ... it was so yummy! Made me feel like fall on the hottest day of the summer.
You have done well homeschooling the many years and now you will get this break and enjoy seeing the rewards of a job well done.
The candles are beautiful, have you done a tutorial on making soy candles, if so I missed it, and if not would you consider making one, I have always wanted to learn how to make soy candles.

Yeah I think it's easy to get used to not doing school. I'm not ready to go back next week. I love your candles! They look so cute and friendly.
