Christmas Movies

This morning my husband was quoting lines from some of our favorite Christmas movies and I was thinking of doing a list of my favorites. So here they are:

1. While You Are Sleeping

2. Sleepless in Seattle

3. It's A Wonderful Life

4. Christmas In Connecticut

5. Going My Way

6. Bells of St. Mary's

7. Home Alone

8. Jingle All The Way

9. Scrooge but my favorite is the version with George C. Scott

10 Muppet Christmas Carol

11. Elf

12. Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer

13. The Charlie Brown Christmas

14. The Grinch Stole Christmas, The old version narrated by Boris Karloff

15. Nik's favorite The Christmas Story

After Christmas we watch the extended version of  all of the Lord of the Rings movies.

I am really looking forward to going to see the Hobbit in the theaters. I rarely go to see movies in the theater anymore because I prefer watching them at home but I will go see the Hobbit.

I am sure I left some out but I think this is my list of my favorites.

I hope you are having a nice day today. Sasha consumed the leftover food on the kids table and I didn't know so she has been very sick for the last two days. Or it could have been that aged gopher head she found and wanted to bring in the house.  Last night I had to take her out every hour or hour in a half. So today I am the zombie.
I feel like I could start at the top of the list today and watch them all.

Thanks for stopping by today,
~Kim~

My goodness, Nov, 25th already... We don't watch many movies here but as far as I can remember, my favorite is Miracle on 34th Street, Home alone, A Christmas Carol and Charlie Brown Christmas.

Your header photo looks awesome and could put Builtmore Mansion a run for it's money.

Sorry about poor Sasha, hope that she is feeling better. It's time like this that I'm glad I don't have anymore pets. Of course I still miss them but I'm just saying... They like to do their things regardless of our approval, lol...

Hugs.

Oh gosh, that's no fun! Too bad you can't just put her outside for the night to deal with it herself.

Love the movies too, most of your list is the same as mine, but I go for the older ones most. George Bailey, Clarence & I have been friends for years. Hope your sweetie is feeling better by tomorrow!! Grab you a nap while you snuggle down during one of the shoes. I love the Lord Of The Rings. i will go see the Hobbit, a rare thing for me too, to go to the theater.

Oh, gosh, I watch Bells of St. Mary's and Going my Way, and also, the original The Bishop's Wife, with Loretta Young and David Niven, and oddly enough, the REMAKE of Little Women with Susan Sarandon as Marmie... I love it and always cry at the end... "Not empty now!"

Kim,
I feel for you with Sasha. I will pray for you and her. My dog has a sensitive stomach, so I am usually doing the exact same thing- in and out, repeat. ALWAYS the middle of the night... I am sure it will be out of her system soon...

Your list is awesome! Most of your favorites are mine too! Let's see- 1,2,3,4,7,9 (It MUST be with George C. Scott!), 11,12,13,14. I watched Sleepless in Seattle the other day. I LOVE While You Were Sleeping (I was just bemoaning to my husband that I NEED to watch it, but we don't have it.) Watched "White Christmas". You've Got Mail is pretty good, Tom and Meg again! :) Miracle on 34th Street and IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE!!!!

Looking forward to the Hobbit as well. My husband will be breaking out the Rings Trilogy soon... Too bad you don't live closer- we could all see it together! :)

Blessing to you!!! Hope you get some rest!!!!

Blessings,
Heather

How funny...Sadie dug up an old groundhog "body" today; she's been carrying it around like a sack of money!
Christmas movies...don't watch too many but It's a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th St are ones I always seem to find playing. Love them both!

Sleepless in Seattle, I love that show. I have watched so many times. I have the DVD of it. I always want the ending to last longer but it never does.

It's a Wonderful life is the best movie ever made as far as I'm concerned.

Lovely header, Kim! Is that your house all ready for the Christmas season?

You have listed some really good movies, too. I must say, though, that my all-time favorite movie is "The Sound of Music."

Enjoy your Sunday evening!

Poor Sasha. I hope she's feeling better now. I'm sure she thought she was in heaven when she got the children's table buffet. (The gopher head was kind of traumatizing though).
I'm a Christmas movie junkie too. I could probably recite the scripts for some word for word.
BTW - Meg's comment made me laugh out loud !

Dogs can be so stealth. Bella ate from the trash the day after Thanksgiving, but luckily didn't get sick. Poor Sasha, I hope she feels better soon. The house looks gorgeous decorated with the lights for Christmas.

I just LOVE your new header! Gorgeous!

I love Christmas movies, though most of my favorites tend to be the older ones: It's a Wonderful Live, Miracle on 34th Street, White Christmas, Christmas in Connecticut, etc. ;-)

Watching Christmas movies is one of my favorite parts of the season. Love your list and have only a couple I would add to it. The Preacher's wife for one, and also Miracle on 34th street. Poor Sasha...sounds like she and I had similar nights. Hope you have a good day!

Is that a Ginkgo tree in the picture? If it is, that is spectacular!

My favorite is A Christmas Story...I was 6 when that came out in 1983 and I have seen every year for the last 30 years. I have the DVD, leg lamp nightlight, and matching ornament.

I also like and own:
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
It's A Wonderful Life
Home Alone
A Christmas Carol
