Chats On The Farmhouse Porch

It is time again to link up with Patrice and Her Chat on her Farmhouse porch. It is always nice to stop by for a chat.
I have so much weed chopping to do today, I won't be sitting much. Tumbleweeds are going crazy.

Here are this week's questions:

1.    What do you do when friends or family pull out a camera? Hide, pose, smile, pull out your own camera and take a photo of whatever they are photographing, or something else?

I hide, I think what always amazes me is I must just look dumb all of the time. I don't think it is the camera either. :)

2.    Did you take any type of music lesson in elementary school?

I played a clarinet. I was first chair but after I got older I just never played it again. I still have the clarinet in my closet.

What is your favorite color of cat (even if you aren't a cat person)?

3. I love stripey kitties. I love all kitties but that kind is my favorite.

4.    What did you have for dinner yesterday?

My old standby, Chicken Pot Pie. When I am busy all day, I can throw one of those together pretty fast.

5.    Do your feet hit the floor running in the morning, or do you drag your self out of bed?

I always hit the ground running. There is always so much to do. I try to get most of my work done by 2 O'clock in the afternoon.
It starts getting to hot too work after that.

Thank you today Patrice, I didn't have a thing in my mind to blog about. My internet died yesterday and I got lots of work done, but I got behind in my visits. I will try and get caught up this afternoon.
Have a great day!
~Kim~

Good morning! I always enjoy these posts...let's see...I hide most of the time from the camera, sigh...BUT...I also copy what others are taking too, haha. Chicken pot pie sounds wonderful but I didn't have a recipe I threw together quickly...I ALWAYS hit the floor running, even when I don't have specific plans. It's just my energy comes in the morning. Too bad that by late afternoon I am usually dragging..haha. Have a good day Kim!

Hmmm...how do you throw a chicken pot pie together in a hurry? Do you keep chicken on hand?

I played clarinet in elementary/junior high school too...and it's just sitting in a cupboard right now too!

I like your answers. Also those morning glories could go in a photo contest, I think. Lots of interest.

I enjoyed the questions and answers. I love the pic of the bachelor buttons that you snuck in the middle of your posts. One of my favorite flowers.

Oh, Kim! I love stripey cats, too! I don't have a kitty just now but I do love them.
You should break out your clarinet and try it again!

I'm sorry that your internet died yesterday. I hope that it will play nice for you from now on!

Chicken pot pie last night too! My go to meal when I forget to take something out of the freezer or just plain don't want to cook. First Chair, very impressive. I wish I could say I hit the floor running, I creak along till the old bones are warmed up. Hope you are enjoying this lovely day, rain is forcast for tomorrow, ugh! Blessings, Julie.

I always enjoy these chats with you Kim, I learn so much about you and realize how much in common we have. I absolutely run from a camera, and if you notice I am usually the one taking the photos, on the other hand dh loves the camera. lol
If you haven't shared I would so love your chicken pot pie recipe, I love this dish!

Would you believe dh and I took the day off, well not exactly he had to go pick up something at the John Deere shop, I went with him and we just decided to take the rest of the day off, just got home and saw you had posted! Now I am feeling guilty, because you have worked all day in your garden. lol. I almost decided to go and do some weeding, but because of showers and heat we are having high humidity, so I opted to blog! I think this is better, there is always tomorrow!~grin~
Hugs,
Sue

Kim
I'm with you about pictures!
I'm not at all surprised you hit the floor running-you are such a busy lady.
One does get a lot done when you can't blog, but I always feel like |I've missed a lot too!

I always enjoy your answers. I, also, wasn't surprised that you hit the floor running. When you said that you liked to have all your work done by 2:00, I thought of my grandmother (from S. California) who always did her work early. It must be the heat in your area that means working early when it's not quite as hot.Striped kitties are cute. I just saw one yesterday and he was adorable!

I don't function very well without coffee but once I get a couple of cups down, I tend to get a lot done in the early morning. But then, I also work well late at night too - I guess it just needs to be quiet so I can concentrate.

I'm stumped for blog posts these days, too. I haven't made chicken pot pie in like forever! I love it! Next time I fix chicken then I'm going to have to make one of these. Yum!

I think that chicken pot pie is my all time favorite meal. My grandmother made the best EVER and none of us has ever been able to reproduce it! Hope she's making it in heaven and I get to have it again some day!
