Friday Update

Today when I woke up, I felt I needed a trip like this above picture. Just to do nothing and sit on the beach and watch the water. Listen to the sound of the waves. Instead I will be watching this:

Sasha digging holes in the dirt. She makes me laugh when she does this as she gets such a crazed look on her face.
I will be watching the girls walk around the back yard.
I will be doing lots of working in the garden. The weeds think we put in that water just for them. They are growing great!
I finished my little sheep rug and it is bound and everything. The fastest I ever made. It was a fun little project to do.
Here it is:
I hope you have a great weekend. We went to see the Avengers last night. Nice movie. I will be checking in later. It is my hubby's Friday off so it will be busy today.
Until later,
~Kim~

Are you very far from the beach, Kim? We are a good day's drive away from the nearest one, and I would like to be there just to walk on the sand in early morning and evening for a few days.
My husband has been out today in the garden. He is keeping it in good shape.:)
The little sheep rug is darling! You have been very busy!
Have a good Friday!

Hi Kim, Love all the pics-especially of your pup digging. Our Hunter has decided to bury his "greenies" and of course did it the afternoon that he was groomed. Thankfully it wasn't mud. I can't believe how big your garden is-I thought my girl's garden was big-but I bet you have a wonderful harvest.
Have a wonderful weekend; put the sprinkler on and pretend you are at the beach.
Hugs, Noreen

Your sheep rug looks great! Yes, the weeds around here think the rain was just for them too...yesterday was gorgeous here, so I rototilled and hopefully got ahead of them. For now. They never give up! Enjoy your day!

I wish I could go stare at the ocean, too. Except it'd be all cold and foggy, and it'd be hard to sit out when it was so cold. Your sheep rug turned out so cute! I hope you hang it up so the white stays all clean.

The rug is so cute! Good job. The closest I am to a beach is Chicago which is over 200 miles from here. Sounds like fun, a walk on the beach.

Wow, that garden is huge! I can't imagine how many weeds it will hold. You are going to need day labor to keep them under control. Your rug is great. Have a peaceful weekend.

Sasha must be a rascal but very entertaining!
Have a lovely day with your hubby! (even if it's not at that beach!)

Oh Kim, I know just what you mean. I've been yearning for a day at the beach for a few weeks now. It seems that every time we go to California to visit the kids we just don't have time to go to the beach. Hubby and I have decided to take a trip to the Oregon coast in a couple of months. Of course it all depends on when the twin great granddaughters plan on making their arrival. You pup is very adorable! Of course, I love the chickens! I don't want to go before I tell you how adorable the little sheep rug is. You did a wonderful job.

I was just telling one of the girls how much I could use a day or two at my sister's beach place. I don't see it happening. Hey- I like that sheep rug. You did a great job. I also read back a few posts and I really like the rooster pillow. I think it's perfect just like it is! Have a great weekend. Oh what fun it would be to sit on the beach together and talk for hours!

Your sheep rug is beautiful! You are very talented! That photo of the beach looks like a California coastline (Santa Cruz, or Moss Landing??). Very pretty!! Our weeds are growing like wildfire around here too. They are continual. Hard to keep up with.

Happy weekend to you!

xoxo...Gloria

The sheep is adorable. You are really getting to be a pro. Even binding an irregular shaped rug. Very impressive Miss Kim! Hope you are having a great day.

You know, if you come over to this side, we'll go to the beach. And we'll go to the Isle of Palms so the dogs can go and run around free! Absolutely love that rug! And your pictures! And this post!

Love the beach and love that little rug! Sorry I been so quiet these last couple weeks, I’ve been really ill (now finally diagnosed with Whooping Cough even though I was immunized) and have had another very rough week.

That rug is so cute! I'm wishing I could be at the beach, too ... but my favorite beach is being hit by Tropical Storm Alberto, so I guess I'll just stay here. ha!
