Chats on the Farmhouse Porch

It is time to have another another visit with Patrice this week. I hope you are all having a nice Valentines Day today. So without further Adieu on to the questions.

1.    Did you do anything special for Valentine's Day?
No not really, I fixed my husband's favorite dinner, Kung Pao Chicken and Nik came over and had dinner with us too. Just a nice evening. My husband is sitting here by me, I showed him Pinterest and he is going crazy looking at all of the pictures of Bonsai. We are in the same room. :)

2.    What was the last craft item that you made?
I made Valentine gifts.

3.    Are you planning a garden? Are you swamped with seed catalogs?

Yes, I am planning a garden, and Not to bad this year. The place I buy my seeds from only has a online catalog now so that is really the only one I ever care about and  they send me emails.

4.    What cosmetics do you have in your purse?

Just a tube of lipstick. I don't even use that very much, when I see my grand children I don't want to get grandma lipstick on them when I kiss them so I leave it off. :)

5.    When there is a room to be painted in your home, who does the painting?

We both do, we both do all of the work together. He is the cleanest painter in the world and I always look like I take a bath in it. I will be covered head to foot and he won't have a drip. We take turns with the ceilings. It is hard on the neck.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Thanks to Patrice for questions this week..

Hi Kim! I love Pinterest. I spend a lot of time looking at stuff!
That's a good idea, leaving off the lipstick for granny smooches. I must do that. I am always leaving big smackeroos on my grands cheeks and foreheads!
Happy Valentine's Day!

I couldn't reach the ceiling to paint it if I tried. haha

I have a Pinterest account, too, but haven't quite gotten it all figured out.

I love your flower pics. My favorites are your first and third pics. All are pretty, though. :)

Have a great week!

Haha I can just picture Jack going "yucky yucky yucky" if he were to get grama lipstick on him.

I have an empty chocolate box for you. Ben still hasn't even opened his, so I might, you know, help him with that... Do you want me to bring the box Friday, or is that too late? I know it's past V day anyways...

Happy Valentines! I made a nice dinner, watched my Grandson and enjoyed my evening with my girls and Mr.
I only carry chapstick in my purse and I have been painting my walls. No time for crafts these days.
I don't think we will have a garden this year because I want to spend all our time at the Beach Cottage this summer.I will miss it though and I am sure I will hit up a few farmers markets.
Don't you just love Pinterest.~Cheers Kim

Kim, I need a 12 step program to keep me off Pinterest. It is so addicting. I can't help myself, it pulls me in like an addict. I tell myself just a peek and a few pins but YIKES I can't stop. I will check out the Bonsai's.

I bet your grandkids would love to have grandma lip stick stains, and it'll make them laugh when they are older to think about. =D

I always end up with paint in my hair! Don't quite know how that happens.

How funny! Hubs sat with me last night too so I could show him Pinterest. He had no idea what we were talking about so I showed him. He thought it was great! And I might be addicted at this point. LOL

I love your chatty front porch visits....and the pictures of the flowers are gorgeous....I am ready for some to appear in my yard but way too early.....

Pinterest is a wonderful site...It helps me collect my thoughts on things and it's great to find receipts, etc...Like someone said, it's very addictive.....My daughter laughs because she says I can always tell when you've been on....

Are your chickens behaving? hahaha

You brought back a memory of my mother blotting her lipstick on a tissue and leaving that 'kiss' for us if she had to go out at night.

I'm thinking we all paint the same way LOL

Happy Valentines Day Kim, I do realize I am a day late. DH and I took my parents out for a special dinner last evening, I am not a fan of eating out however, dinner was lovely. The only cosmetic I use is lipstick, I feel naked with out it! Thinking of you, Julie.

"grandma lipstick kisses". Lol. I always used to duck my grandmothers sister - bright red lipstick, applied an inch thick. Haha. I haven't thought of that in years.

Beautiful floral color palette you chose today! I love kung pao. You'll have to post your recipe sometime. I've never made it before, only order it out!

Blessings, Debbie

I have stayed OFF Pinterest, and am determined not to get sucked in ... I *know* I will be if I go there at all! Our girls love it, but I am not. I am not. I am not going there!

Trying again to comment, it ate my first one...I am enjoying Pinterest...I have cooked more things, gotten more ideas and it is my relaxing time in the evening...it is like looking through great magazines for me...very enjoyable and informative, and I don't stop to comment.

I love the no lipstick, I can just picture all the times I had to rub it off my kids from their grandmother and aunt...and still do!! LOL But those are good memories, but I will be more like you.

Paint...oh, I am the painter and I never cover up, but at the end whatever clothes I have on become my paint clothes...LOL I have got to get back to painting here, this house is really ugly without new paint and my bedroom is horrible...so I must get the brushes out again.

Have a wonderful week.

We're still debating having a garden this year ... I guess we ought to hurry up and decide, eh? ;-)
