How To Hula-Hoe

I thought that it might be fun to give you a little tutorial on a hula-hoe. I have spent years trying to
hide from cameras, and video cameras and I can't believe I am doing this for My Field of Dreams.
I want to thank my son for filming and my husband for his encouragement.
I hope you enjoy this, it was fun.

Just had to watch it again. You're a natural! I'm serious! You could be doing infomercials - I'd buy a hula hoe from you and i don't even garden! You're just so natural!

OMG! That was so cute. I LOVE it. You could totally sell hula hoes. I just love how your first video is of how to chop weeds. Not like sewing, or cooking or anything. Chopping weeds. Hehe. ;)

Well, Kim, I am doing a happy dance, I finally got it to work and watched it twice.
My review.... You are a natural in front of the camera, and love to hear your sweet voice, we had a Hula- Hoe and they do make work easier, Somehow we lost ours probably when we moved some years ago. You are like me, I would have asked for one instead of chocolate {smile}
Your son did a terrific job of putting this together. a beautiful job!!!
Hugs,
Sue

OMG it was so cool to see and hear you! I could never imagine what a hula hoe was but it is nothing like I thought it might be. I think I was picturing more like I scythe (sp?)
I love the video - you are too cool.

A star is born! Thank you so much for not only introducing me to a hula hoe, but demonstrating! Love the video, you are a natural. As we would say here in Maine "wicked cute" Blessings from Maine, Julie.

Oh yes I enjoyed this!! Why are we so self conscious? I think we should all do a little video. I recently shared with another blogging friend that it seemed strange to enjoy someone enough to refer to them as a friend and yet not know what they look like... You're gorgeous by the way!

Now you'll never do another right? Actually I do need to say that I've heard the praises of the hula hoe but I didn't know what one was! So really I wasn't just staring at you, I really was pleased at what you were showing me!!

Blessings, Debbie

I had to work and work to get that to work for some reason, but I am soo glad I finally did. I LOVED it!! I love putting a voice and a face with a blogging buddy. Makes it soo much more personal and real. You are adorable! I don't do any weeding anymore, but would this have ever been handy when I was. What a wonderful thing. I agree with everyone else, you could totally sell this. Have a wonderful day! HUGS

Aww, that was such a cute video! I'm glad you did a video, because trying to demonstrate in photos would have taken, like, fifty of them. :-)

Well how cute is that Kim! You are my 'girl to go to' on anything to do with farms, planting, gardens and home & hearth stuff! Not to mention all the cute and wise descriptions you share along the way.

Loved the video!

Oh Kim, I can't tell you how happy you make me feel just by listening to your sweet as candy voice and actually seeing you move like you are alive.... I know that you once told me that you sounded like Bambi but I never saw Bambi handling a Hula-Hoe. Lol. You are so at ease in front of the camera and you did a great commercial for Hula-Hoe. I like the phrase where you say And you too will soon be weed free. That's my dream, to be weed free.

I'm so glad that you decided to do this. You took the hoe by the handle and you did it. Kind of taking the bull by the horn... You (((rock)))

Have a weed free garden. Hugs. JB

LOVED IT! Miss Advertising lady- I'll take six hula hoes for our farm. Can I get hula hoops too?

I agree with everyone. My friend, Kim, is cute! I love being able to put a voice with the words I read. It's so nice to make the "portrait of a friend" more complete.

I don't know why we're so self conscious. We should all make videos and make a more complete picture of ourselves for our blog buddies. With that said, I need to get a Flip or one of those video cameras before I can do that. I have relied on a borrowed camera that I can't download to my computer. So, I send it to my brother-in-law to load onto a disk. It's really a pain and can take months depending on his schedule. I've been saving for a video camera and then I found out hubby wants a Nook reader for his birthday. Time to start saving again!

Hubby just walked in and I asked him if he'd ever heard of a hula hoe. He said no, but when I showed him the video he recognized your tool as a stirrup hoe. A rose by any other name...
