Joy In This Life

Do you ever catch your breath because all of a sudden joy washed
over you so deep, and you want to fall on the ground and worship God.
Do you ever feel like I must be dreaming because this can't be my life?
Today, my daughter had her ultra sound and it really, really is a girl.
The baby looks perfect and she kept her hands over eyes because she didn't like
the machine.

I know that each time I heard my babies heart beat for the first time I would
be happy for days, when I felt the quickening and knew a life was going to
come into my heart. Then joy would wash over me the same way.

So today when she told me, I was so very thankful and aware of the tiny bit
that I have given God He has multiplied to me over and over.

This verse reminds me " Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord,
because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."
(1 Corinthians 15:58)

No work of faith, no labor of love, no smallest prayer is ever lost, but, like the smoke of the incense on the golden altar,
rises from the hand of the angel before God.
(Love Has a Price Tag.)

Today is my oldest grandson's birthday. He will be 4 he is the oldest by 3 days.
When I look back at that year 4 years ago all I can say is God was faithful.
This is what got me through those hard days and nights was God's Word and
the verses I claimed for my children and grandchildren.

I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able.
Able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.
Able to make all grace abound toward you, that you always having all
sufficiency in all things,
may have an abundance for every good work.
Able to aid those who are tempted.
Able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through him,
since he always lives to make intercession for them.
Able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory
with exceeding joy.
Able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.
Who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to
His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to
subdue all things to Himself.
"Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to Him; Yes, Lord."
According to your faith let it be to you."

One of the things I always want to shout from the rooftops,
is that I had messed up my life, I had done things I will take to my
grave. But God being the God of second chances gave me
a chance. I am so very, very thankful that I have been given
this life and when in times like today, I am just in awe,
that I have been given such gifts.
I hope your Thursday is full of joy.

How happy I am for your daughter, and her family. I hear the joy in your words Kim, and I believe God loves the praises of His children. I will give Glory and Honor to Him right along with you. You are so precious.
I don't know how I missed our post yesterday, I guess this spring cleaning has got my head abuzz. I was encouraged by your post, and encourage you to go forward. I too have to eat like a farm hand, because of working so hard physically. My goal is to be healthy, and have been working so hard on it since my bout with the flu. I finally told myself,"Sue you didn't get like this overnight, and you are not going to get healthy overnight". And reading of yours and other's journey encourages me so much.
Enjoy this wonderful news and your day my friend.
Hugs,
Sue
