Wedneday Words for Weight loss

Here we are to Wednesday Words For Weight Loss.
I looked forward to it. Dear Patrice is doing all the thinking up
of questions. Patrice and her girls write really nice blogs.
You should stop in and see all of the wonderful things she does.
She is at Everyday Ruralty.

Here are the questions for this week:

1. What's your favorite vegetable?. I would have to say that I like every
kind of vegetable with maybe red bell peppers being my favorite right now.
Not to mention I really only like my vegetables raw.

2. Is eating out a problem for you? No, You would have to go out to eat
for it to be a problem and we don't go out to eat. I have a problem with going
out to eat food, prepared by someone else, when I can make better food, that
tastes better and feed my family for pennies. The prettier the food, the more
it was handled. I am starting to be like Mr. Monk when it comes to food.

3. How often do you weight yourself? I weigh myself, once a week, every
Friday morning.

4. What's the hardest time of day for you regarding snacking? It depends
how hard I have worked during the day. If I have worked hard all day then about
2:00 in the afternoon I am so hungry. I always think if I just get pass that time
of day the rest is easy.

5. Please tell me something you will do this week to be nice to yourself.
This is a hard question for me. I think I am always nice to myself. I will maybe find
some time to sit and watch my chickens. I am in declutter mode at my house right
now and sitting is sort of a luxury. I cleaned my two pantries today,
and cleaned out all of my cupboards and my kitchen drawers. I got my guest bathroom
clean and for the first time in 10 years I could store toilet paper under the sink. It is such a nice feeling to be able to do this right now. For some weird reason that was where I stored
my family photos. I found a place for my photos today.

Thanks for stopping by and reading today. Knowing that I have this to do is nice
for me in my journey this year. I have lost 4 pounds so far.

Aha! The guest sink is done!!! Hurray!!! :)

You made me chuckle on the Mr. Monk reference. My guess is you're a pretty good cook and enjoy it and the satisfaction it gives you to feed your family well. :)

And red peppers raw? Eek! Not for me, but I know you're in the "red" mood these days... :)

I don't think there's a veggie I don't like either. But squash is my favorite. I could eat it every day forever!

Oh good, these answers always make me laugh. I've also discovered how good raw bell peppers are. So crunchy and sweet! I'd love to do these questions, too, but I'm trying to gain weight, not lose it. Unfortunately, as I'm gaining weight, Ryan is, too! Maybe I should back off on cooking lasagna so often.

Congratulations on 4 pounds! I LOVE red peppers and yellow ones too. I like them raw or lightly sauteed with onions in olive oil with sea salt.
I prefer food at home, even if we didn't deal with allergies.
Have a great rest of the week!

Congrats on 4 lbs. Kim! I don't know ifyou like squash, but I had the best butternut squash garlic soup on vacation, I've got to try and find a recipe for it, doesn't seem like it would be too hard and hopefully healthy! Lisa

Hi Kim,
Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving your sweet comment. I enjoyed reading this post. Congratulations on losing 4 lbs! That's wonderful! I love red bell peppers too, and use them quite a lot. I especially like them raw. You sound like you are very productive in decluttering...that is something I need to start doing around my house.

Enjoy the rest of your week! :)

Two pantries? how wonderful. Did you say you stored family photos under the bathroom sink? LOL! Never heard of that one before! Congratulations on the fours pounds, I'm cheering you on all the way from cold snowy Maine.

Hi Kim, Congratulations on your weight loss, I enjoyed reading these things about you, I can relate to being like Monk, as I have been down with the flu this week, I told my dh I got it at the restaurant Sat. night. There were so many people coughing in the restaurant and it was very crowded, even our server had a cold, I had a niece who was there came down with the flu too.
I am gad you got to do cleaning this week, but mine has been at a standstill as a result of these two illnesses this month.
Enjoy your week ,
hugs,
Sue

Hello, this is my first time visiting your blog and I have enjoyed reading some of your post. I have never had to loose weight in my life, I am in my mid 50's, until now. I need to loose about 10-12 lbs. and I never thought it would be so hard. We do not go out to eat either....we are home-bodies and I had rather know exactly what has been put in my food!

Thanks,
Linda
