Fiber Friday

I am linking today to Little Bit of Life for her Fiber Friday.
I have been working on a few things. I did the above punch needle
but just got up the courage to show you a picture. I bought my pattern
from Bird Brain Designs.

I bought this pattern years and years ago. It is from
Bunny Hugs.com It has taken me years to get to all of the patterns
that I had stuck away. I mean I had no excuse, I had all of the
wool I had the hardest time cutting it. I handle it and look at it
and put it back in my box. I finally grabbed myself by the scruff
and said, " You will cut this wool Now!" So I did. I love how it
looks, I thinking of doing another.

Here is some of the progress I have made this week on
my rug. I love being a 10 minute rug hooker because
I can do it for 10 minutes and put it away. No guilt.
I think I will be working on my counted cross stitch
I have been doing, called Something Wicked. It has been
fun.
I also wanted to add that I came to the end of my 80 day challenge
to walk 10,000 steps every day. When I started I didn't think I could
do it but as time went on it got easier and easier and my average became
12-15,000 steps a day. Now I am kind of lost and wondering about doing
it for 80 days more. I will let you know what I decide.
I just thought I should say something today. It was kind of a big deal to me.
I hope you have a lovely Friday.

Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, for His wonderful works to the children of men!

(Psalm. 107:6)

KIm, You are so gifted with your hands,
Congratulations on your 10,000 steps a day, I have been trying to do the same thing,Dr. Oz says a minimum of 10,000 steps. lol

I am a little out of commission as far as work today, I was doing my last canner of meat sauce this week, I mean the very last one of the season, and got this nasty burn on my hand. I tried to continue my daily chores and it seems I was injuring it more so dh put me off duty yesterday from work, but thank the Lord not from blogging. lol
I always enjoy coming here you motivate me and encourage me.I might even get my cross stitch out again, and try to get back to creating some things, I have gotten away from it for a while.
Much love going your way today dear friend.

Its great to see pieces of your work. Your rug is coming along nicely. I agree the 10 minutes a day is a great motivator. And I find once I start I usually do more than the 10 minutes but if I don't, its OK too.

Hey, your rug is looking awesome! I just love watching you do it, it's so cool.

Dude, 10,000 steps every day for 80 days is a big deal! I didn't know your end date was here already. Maybe you should up the challenge.... I dunno like 10,000 steps .... while reading! :P

I just love your rugs. They're so .... tactile!

Also, congrats on the 80 days of 10,000 steps! That really is a big deal. It'll be easier to do it again now that the weather is starting to cool off.

NR and Meg, thanks for the encouragement!I might try say 10,000 while reading. :) I am going to have to do something because I was a slacker yesterday and only did 7600. I always need to have a goal to work toward. :)

How funny...when I saw the title of this post I thought you were going to be teaching on putting more fiber in your diet...LOL

These are just wonderful...it makes me want to so some...it has been so many years since I did...now don't I sound old?

Oh the step thing...are you wearing a meter to determine that? Is that just around your house or out on a walk? If out on a walk than how many miles? You can answer this in a email if you have time...just curious

Have a blessed weekend...oh, love your comment on my post..."obey"....now I know that was in my vows...but it would be interesting to see if my husband feels I have done that...LOL We were able to kneel at those same steps, by ourself, 30 years later and thank God for His hand on us through the years and the heritage He had given us through that church...it was awesome..so many tears!!!
He is such a teddy bear I don't know when he has asked me to obey...except recently for that research group!

hey kim,

beautiful rugs! and congratulations on meeting
your walking goal. did you lose weight or notice
better health, etc.?

i've set some goals for myself recently. no sugar
after dinner, little sugar as possible during the day,
lots of exercise, veggies, and fruits.

i've only been doing it for three days, though.

love,
lea
